Review:I was really enjoying this book. I had purchased it with several other books to save on shipping costs. By the time I started reading it however, I was already past the return option date. I got to the middle of the book and discovered that an entire section of the book was REPEATED, (about 60 pages) and then after those erroneous pages it picked up as though the previous section was correct. After I got over being extremely angry, I tried to get help from Amazon with it, but it was too late. So... Read more
Review:I found this book extremely helpful. While I am not in a divorce situation, someone very close to me is. I read this book in one day as I found so much of the information pertinent to what my loved on was going through. I will be sharing this book with them as well. Read more
Review:If so, I strongly recommend Wayne Dyer's classic: PULLING YOUR OWN STRINGS. It gives immediate solutions to the scenarios created by all of the major "vampire" personality types -- without a discourse into why they're the way they are. Dyer's book gets straight to the point!Pulling Your Own Strings: Dynamic Techniques for Dealing with Other People and Living Your Life as You Choose Read more
Review:I definitely appreciate the fact that an author finally recognized the issue of having a borderline parent. However, you can tell the author is simply a good author...that's it. She has no personal experience to speak from nor is she a therapist of any sort...at least this is the impression I get. Reducing signs/symptoms, outcomes, probable causes and such in bullet points kinda reduces it to a cold or flu. I found other books to be more helpful HOWEVER this would be a great book if you're j... Read more
Review:If you have children or grandchildren, this is the book for you. Simple things, such as saying you really worked hard rather than you really are smart, make a huge difference in how successful children become at anything, from sports to academic accomplishments. The book is full of hints like this and an easy-to-understand explanation of how to be successful at your chosen activity. These hints apply to all ages. After reading it, I had to purchase copies to send to others. Read more
Review:This and its parent book "Talent Code" really give you an in-depth look at what it takes to create a winning team or school. It will open your mind with ideas to performance and what it takes to make champions. Whether you are a sports team, music school or some other type of competition based business this book is awesome!!! Read more
Review:BLACK PASSENGER YELLOW CABS: An Erotic Ethnographic MemoirThis book is worth reading if one would like to understand the psyche of the third world. I read the two reviews which this book has received and realized that they just don't get it. Maybe one has to have seen where Stefhen grew up and understand the incredible, sheer luck it took to crawl out of such a hole and be able to write a memoir of his experiences.Fi... Read more
Review:"The International College of Applied Kinesiology and its current and past two presidents, John Diamond and applied kinesiologists in general, as well as scientists and scientific skeptics, do not accept as workable Hawkins applied kinesiology." -Arjuna Aletheia, Secrets of David R. Review:Anyone interested in abnormal pschology will find this book fascinating! That the human brain can, for it's own protection, protect each facet of one's life by separating sub-conciously is amazing! The things we've yet to learn about the human brain!
I found this book inspiring! Particularly in the end where letters Sybil wrote to Dr. Wilbur after her cure are published. I never before thought to be thankful for having control for one whole day! I always thought that 24 hours in a da... Read more
Review:As a relationship consultant and educator working with the partners of high-conflict people, I particularly enjoy reading--in this case, re-reading--well-defined scenarios and competent descriptions. I recommend this book! Read more
