Review:As an aviation buff, I enjoyed the read. But seriously, the premise was good, that storyline was well told, but when it came to the actual execution of the caper, and the ending, I had to roll my eyes. Unbelievable, and sappy. I understand Cheese was carrier qualified, so you would think his story about stealing a foreign stealth plane that overflies a land base, to land on a carrier, without the mention of any ICLS or even an ILS heads up display in the Devildragon...or a tailhook?III? Review:The Great Influenza is fascinating for most part. The beginning is a bit slow, with a history of medicine and how it was just changing into science at the beginning of the 1900s. But then it picks up speed and tells the story of the 1918 flu. The role that politics and the 1st World War played in the spread of that flu surprised me, circumstances that will probably not recur. Review:I have been following Max for sometime on social media and have been following his advice. Now I have his book and can read more in depth about the research he has collected and put together. The book is not overwhelming to read like some I have read. There are a few recipes at the end that I have already tried and found very tasty. Read more
