Pinkalicious: Flower Girl
Pinkalicious: Flower Girl

Review:This book has literally one page that shows pinkalocious as an actual flower girl. Not great as a story for my future flower girls. I guess if you are a pinkalicious fan it is a good addition to a library. I am keeping the book because the girls will think its cute. Read more

The Pigeon Has Feelings, Too!
The Pigeon Has Feelings, Too!

Review:This book follows the original "Pigeon" books but is geared for toddlers. It uses simple language and the board book format. Young children may enjoy the pigeon's antics on their own with out concern for torn pages. We also have the other books, "Pigeon finds a hot dog" and the original, "Don't let the pigeon drive the bus." I enjoy it with children and marvel at the range of emotions that the author/illustrator achieves with a simple line drawing. Thank you Mo Willems! Read more

Journey (Aaron Becker's Wordless Trilogy)

Review:A rare book. An outstanding feeling, touching and with fine and important details. We can talk and talk about it with my 5y.o. And we can learn from it and we can wonder and we can admire. A big book for small people. Read more

Review:It's colorful, whimsical and lyrical. A favorite of my 3 year old (and of mine!) We actually sing most of the story. I have since bought it for several nieces, nephews, and the children of friends.

Kudos all around Read more

Little Men (Illustrated) (Little Women Series Book 2)
Little Men (Illustrated) (Little Women Series Book 2)

Review:I have to agree with the reviewer who complained about the sermons. This book is even more littered with preaching than Little Men and Little Women, and that's saying something. Probably a good 20% of this book is skip-worthy for that reason.

Alcott was always prone to littering her works with literary and artistic references (calling Amy "Raphael," and whatnot), but she seems to have gone dramatically overboard in this book, with references to almost all of Goethe's various fictional c... Read more
