Review:I adored Daniel & Tasha's story.
It's sexy, funny, & touching.
Daniel is enjoying the view at his Tahoe getaway, he's building, for he & his family to enjoy. Now, he just needs a break, & spend the time working on his home. Tasha wonders if she's ready to
take the next step in her relationship.
That was, till her eye's were opened to the truth. Tasha was on the run, till finding a little shack, in Lake Tahoe. She isolates herself from everyone. Taking a dip in the lak... Read more
Review:This is currently one of my favorite subgenres. I like the palpable sense of dread the author creates from the very beginning. Is something off with the narrator? We don't know. I am never sure how long books are anymore with the kindle, but this one must be fairly short at only 3 hour or so read. Dreadful and tricky. I liked it!! Read more
Review:I've read one book by Meg Wolitzer before, but hoped for more from this one because of the good reviews and the potential of an interesting theme and plot. Sorry. I just don't get it. Another reviewer, Avid Reader, wrote that Wolitzer had 'a concept still searching for characters and a meaningful story.' Exactly. I just don't think that she's a real writer. She doesn't have an interesting view of the world and she doesn't know much about how to express what she does know. Given the mostly glowi... Read more
Review:Publishers are pulling a bait and switch once again, new cover, new title, new date of release.
"Swept Away" was originally released in May 2005 under the name of "Runaway Mistress", which I loved by the way, but I hate it when publishers try to rip off the unsuspecting consumers. Ms. Carr, how do you feel about your publisher’s tactics? Stunts like this really, really suck!!!! Read more
Review:I have read every one of the Virgin River Books....and I had my date circled on the calender when this book came out. Maybe my expectations were too high, because I LOVE the Virgin River Series. I might be in the minority here....but I really loved the books in which there were multiple stories going on and we got to catch a glimpse of all of our favorites. This book focused on two characters and I must say....I did not really like either character. Sure we got a glimpse of Murial and Walt....an... Read more
Review:I love Robin Carr!!! Her books are wonderful! She can make me laugh until my husband thinks I'm nuts, yesterday she had me crying. All of her books are about good friends, love, & life. I can't seem to get enough. Thanks Read more
Review:It was a bit choppier than I expect of Robin Carr's books. The whole story ark was there but some of the characters needed more development. It wasn't as focused either. I'm used to being drawn in quickly with her books and it just wasn't there this time. Read more
Review:Sierra moves to Colorado to be close to her brother and his wife. She finds work and friendship in their small town. She develops self confidence and faces old problems head on. Written in Robyn Carr's familiar style, establishing an array of friends and extended family that could appear in a future book in a series about Sullivan's Crossing. Read more
Review:The trilogy was just enough material to be introduced to and to love the characters and the setting. I would recommend these books anyone looking for a read that allows them to leave their surroundings and become part of this town and its people. Read more
Review:This book took me back quite a few years. I worked in HR for an airline and this story is absolutely true without the hijack attempt. Robyn Carr really knows how to hold a reader's attention. Hoping this will become a series. With these same characters, I see several possibilities for more books that need to be written. Here's hoping. Read more
