Women's Fiction
Review:Love Robin Carr and the stories she writes. I felt like I was in Thunder Point with the rest of the characters. She made me want to move there to experience the close knit community myself. Great story! Read more
Review:Robyn Carr has a great way of bringing her characters to life. They are always interesting, talented people, a little quirky in fun ways. Cal and Maggie find each other after loss and move forward to a special . Their families and friends are unique, both simple and complex. It's a fun read. Read more
Review:I adore Robyn Carr but it feels like forever since I read her books... I thought nothing could compare to Virgin River but Sullivan's Crossing has captured my heart along with the dysfunctional and complex Jones family.
If you haven’t read the series it doesn’t matter it works as a standalone read with a HEA. It centers on the story of Dakota and Sid. Dakota's family lives in Sullivan's Crossing. His parents were of the hippy generation but his parents had a lot more issues than just bein... Read more
Review:This author is equal to nora roberts and above all others. Her stories are real and you can put a face and soul to her charaters. I discovered her by pure accident when Walmart had her first three books of the Vergin River series. Fell in love instantly and have read most of her books planning to finish them all. Read more
Review:An enticing romance that grabs you quickly. It is a rocky road along the way. There's slot going on in Virgin River, as always, and you won't be bored. A very good read and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Read more
Review:This book is really predictable soap opera reading and unless you enjoy soap opera you will be bored reading it. I suppose someone young with little life experience would enjoy the story but for my taste I prefer a little depth in the story line. The troubling part of the book for me was the sex scenes. The author describes the main character as a middle aged women with lumps and bumps and goes in to detail in the sex scenes. For some reason I found this hysterically funny as I am a visual pers... Review:Rating: 3.5 stars __Contains PG-13 sexual content
Note: Continued story. Read all three books in the Grace Valley trilogy as one book.
WARNING: This soap opera style format is confusing if you are not reading the series in order.
GOOD READ. Entertaining, sometimes touching, storyline about the pleasures and problems of small town life, diverse and colorful characters, funny situations, strong extended family theme, menacing bad guy(s), and a sweet, low-key romance that runs thr... Read more
Review:Another romantic hit by Robyn Carr. I always wonder how she gets her ideas and think she must be running out of them and then another novel comes along and I am captivated by the story and the characters and can't put the book down.
In this story we have two young girls who become best of friends in elementary school and travel through the school years almost connected at the hip. They share each others highs and lows and have some things in common that bind them together almost as sister... Read more
Review:I was pining for a satisfying romance read, so I selected this book. I was sorely disappointed in my selection. I really don't understand the solely high praises for this book, as it was obviously a simplistic, trite, wholly unsatisying read. The dialogue was eye-rollingly silly and the characters somewhat one-dimensional and unlikable (the Sam character, for instance, is truly a stalker-type personality). The plotline was so predictable - I knew what would happen as each character was intro... Read more
Review:Good, thoughtful read. I always think I know how I would handle a situation, but this author helps you to see from other points of view, which I think makes her a great writer.
I was very drawn into the story, and it was very though provoking. Read more
