Review:I will repeat what others have said, because it is true. This book was just…Wow. Life can change in an instant, and Abbie’s does. She had what she thought was the perfect life, but everything changes in an instant, leaving her reeling and trying to figure out her way forward. This was an amazing read. The characters were so well done, I felt the emotions right along with them. The story line moves so easily and quickly, I found myself reading and turning pages just as quickly. I didn’t want to... Review:While I agree there were some errors, there weren't enough to turn me off to this very enjoyable read. Good character development with a plot line that kept me turning the pages. Looks like I will be reading the next one soon. Read more
Review:I got this for a swap, and thought it was great because it has a lot of "wishers". I wish I'd read all of the 1 star reviews before I wasted my money & time on this dreck. Now I'm going to get about half of what I paid for it back. This is my first, and last, MKA book. I thought it would be a fun beach read about the movie industry, which I find interesting. It wasn't. It was more of a procedural book in the life of a location manager, working on the world's worst film, for the world's ... Read more
Review:Such a great book with a wonderful story! I am a sucker for anything that involves music and the fact that this story has its own soundtrack makes me love it even more! It was the first book I read by Colleen Hoover and plan to read more of her writing! Read more
Review:I purchased this novel for my recent Caribbean vacation and found it enjoyable. It was not "deep" in any way, but the novels and relationships I could certainly relate to with my own group of friends. Found it an entertaining beach read. Read more
Review:An okay read. Some portions of the book were a bit ridiculous, actually. And sadly, Val's entire character went from charming and spunky to idiotic, annoying, and completely off-the-wall mental. In fact, I found her extremely unlikable and began to cringe each time she appeared on the page. But Addie and Jordan make the book well worth the read. (Along with Jennifer Weiner's writing - love her.) Not one of Weiner's best, but if you're a fan I'd recommend checking it out. Read more
Review:No this is not an action packed book as insinuated by my title but I am not a reader and this book had me in the palm of its hand and I finished it in a mere two days. I really enjoyed the read and became very sad when it was over.5 stars! Read more
Review:The series was a nice light read. But if you are looking for any character depth, development or a story where everyone isn't living in a unicorn and rainbow world, these are not for you.
I read all 6: the first one I struggled with the most but I wanted to see the how books played out. A few were better than others but it was exhausting living in a world where everything was so perfect. Even if someone experienced any sort of issue, it was resolved in a few days.
I realize for some this... Read more
Review:I wanted to love The Family Next Door since I really enjoyed Sally Hepworth’s last novel, The Things We Keep. This book is about the secrets kept by four women neighbors in Australia. Fran, Ange, and Essie have never been close, but when Isabelle moves into the neighborhood – a single woman without a family – their paths begin to cross a bit more, and their secrets begin to unravel.
This book is told in alternating chapters between all four characters. I love that writing style, and it wo... Read more
Review:I had a really hard time getting into this book, or warming up to it once I did. I wanted to like this book, but I just couldn't. I stayed with the story to the end, hoping that Bev would have this big triumph moment. She did in a way I guess, but not the way I'd hoped. This is advertised as a Romance/ Comedy, but I didn't find anything funny about the way everyone treated Bev.
IMO- It was so disrepectful, if anything. Plus...I hated the relationship between Bev and Liam, it just didn't s... Read more
