Review:I purchased this book for a class to read a couple chapters, but kept it to read more about the philosophical spin that Hoff puts on the stories of Pooh.
Very interesting read, and makes one stop and ponder life and its wonders. Read more
Review:It was nice to refresh my memory on the early books, as I always forget what happened in what book. I bought the Kindle Fire version and my only wish, was that it had page numbers and a chapter index so I could pop back and forth easily. I enjoyed the questions and answers and opinions Diana Gabaldon provides throughout. Now, on to the second Outlandish Companion book for the remaining books. Read more
Review:I have long admired Ms. Angelou and this anthology of her poems did not disappoint. All her writing is so very personal that you feel you really know a large part of her personally. I recomment this volume highly to anyone who has only read her prose. Read more
Review:I listened to the Fresh Air podcast about this book (titled after the book itself) and loved hearing about this largely unknown aspect of Wonder Woman. Shortly after I decided to find a full book because I wanted to learn even more. The writing style of this book was so horrible that I didn't make it more than 3% before giving up. Save your money and listen to the free podcast featuring the author rather than wasting money here. Sentences felt poorly constructed and awkward. I couldn't even foll... Read more
Review:A great book. Gives all the information you could want out of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. History, timelines, and important facts about all the nations that make up Jordan's fictional world. It even gives the calender and holidays of the many nations. Facts and info on the Aiel, the Seanchan, the Aes Sedai, and Sea Folk. Stories from before the Breaking, during the Breaking, and after. Nothing--save the books in the Wheel of Time series--beats this book. Read more
Review:Cantelli is an unbelievable character. He stumbles around like poor imitation of Peter Sellers. The story line is way below what this author usually writes. The formula just does not work in either of the Cantelli books. I say leave it on the shelf and read something else Read more
Review:I saw the Disney movie many u years ago when I was young. I have shared it with my children. Now, my 9-year-old daughter are delighted to be discovering together the novel on which the movie was based. It is a gripping story replete with wisdom sorely needed today. Read more
Review:The writing style of which I was not used to, challenged my reading comprehension and I believe I am better because of it. The story was tender and sweet, full of metaphors depicting God and positive values and life lessons. Read more

Review:it's raw with so much emotion (said from a emotional person perspective). I found myself just as in milk and honey marking page after page. However some of it does sound like it was repeating mostly in the first chaper which was hard and rather boring for me to get through. Some pages are one sentence which saddens me as though she was just trying to make the book bigger or needed to fill a page. Read more
