Review:....captured my interest from the first few words, as Du Maurier most always does. "My Cousin Rachel" is a bit dark and brooding .. wonderful insight into character's personalities which drives the suspensful story...one of my favorites, right up there with "Rebecca." Read more
Review:L.M. Montgomery is one of the best writers of all time. I love going back to her books, always so wholesome and family oriented. O love being able to read these books with my almost 12 year old daughter... Read more
Review:Good read but the audiobook is far more enjoyable. The story came alive in the audio. A performance by a wonderful actress. The foreign phrases and names that are diversions in print just flowed beautifully from the audio reader. A great read was transformed into a frighting immersion into individual fear and loneliness in a uncaring universe. Relentlessly draws you in and down and down. Read more
Review:This is a gorgeous edition of compiled Jane Austen novels. I was hoping the picture wasn't misleading, but if anything, the book I received was even more beautiful than the picture illustrated. This will be displayed prominently in my growing home library. Thank you so much. Read more
Review:This was a great great book to read. I remember reading another book by Joss and that completely tore away my thinking about how the world is evolving and how close minded we are getting.
And this book was like that too. It tore my thinking down. And that's the best part about his books. The fact that it is written so simply, you think that the book is nothing much to write home about and that it will be light and meaningless, but it has such deep nuggets of wisdom inside.

Review:While it was a very enjoyable book, I think it was not one of the best Discworld novels. The characters were very well written and interesting, and I'd love to read about Mister Nutt's further adventures. If you like sports, football in particular, you'll find this book highly entertaining. Read more
Review:Wow, this is best thing I've read in many years. An artful blend of comedy and thrills featuring a bloodthirsty revenant from the Spanish inquisition. The author has a knack for clever dialog and amusing phrases. The characters are interesting, and quite believable - if you make allowances for the wildly imaginative circumstances, and don't include the villains who are at once clownish and horrifying. Do yourself a favor, and ignore the naysayers who would doubtless emerge unscathed from a s... Read more
Review:Excellent reading. This is the first of Ridley's books that I have read and I do believe I'm hooked. Very well written and I even enjoyed the fact that the heroine is probably someone I would truly not like even remotely in real life. Highly recommend it! Read more
Review:Just from the title of this novel....Death Stalks Kettle Street, I knew I was in for a fresh murder, mystery treat. John Bowen has written a fab novel that you will not want to put down. Greg is a treasure trove full of endearing and at times heartbreaking emotions, we see him battling every single day, living with severe OCD as he pushes himself to overcome the smallest task, most of us take for granted. Beth is just as lovely, an aspiring writer, who lives with Celebral Palsy, totally opposit... Read more
Review:This is part of a series. As with most series it leaves you expecting more resolution, maybe wanting to read more.. Not worth my time to pursue more of the series even though it was inventive and entertaining. Read more
