Review:Provides information that has not been reported that can help us all understand what happened to Black people in this country and the implications for the future as well as repeating it in the present. It is a very time read. I wish educators, especially history teachers would read this book as they are the front line in providing perspective to the rest of us. Read more
Review:Very well written. Quite detailed and was a joy to read. Living is the Northwest it was a part of history I was really not aware of. This is a book that everyone should read and come to terms with how we treated the Native Americans. Read more
Review:I was amazed at the amount of information revealed in one place about our history! Yet, I was saddened to know that so much of this information is not known. Review:Harper speaks to the boy growing into manhood on a level that is easily understood and straight from the heart. He doesn't preach, he gives options with reasons. I'd like to give this book to every adolescent male in America who needs a mentor. Read more
Review:This is a terrific book that can actually inspire you about the prospect of getting older! I first read it as a reading assignment in a college class about NW authors nine years ago. My mother subsequently lent it to her siblings and friends after enjoying it herself. Although it's a legend, it's a somewhat believable story and very uplifting and insp... Read more
