Review:This is a must read for anyone courious about the Native American Indians. I myself can't read enough about them. This book explains so much about their life on and off the reservation, the wars they've been through and the way the were and still are treated. We hear so much about the Holicost, the Genocide and the homeless in the world but we don't hear much about their Holicost, Genocide or homeless then and now. The book "Black Elk Speaks" holds your attention from start to finish. Black... Read more
Review:My late paternal great-aunt, 1/4 unknown European and 3/4 Chinese was the only grand-family that my father counted on financially since the sudden death of his father at age of 8 in 1945. She was mean and tended to verbally abuse her own family and even step-family who later supported her at old age. She expected everyone to look up to her and to always say good morning, great-aunt every day from us. I grew up fearing her in my home when she came to visit us from San Francisco to Hong Kong al... Review:A fascinating, well written analysis of the reasons for the success of certain minorities in the US, full of intriguing details, for instance about various individual members of these minorities. Even if reality is more complex than three factors, I believe that the ones of the triple package are indeed of crucial importance. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it ... a book that made me reflect about the reasons for my own success and the success or failure of people I know. Interesting to compare wit... Read more
Review:The Antidote is an instant classic! This book should be required reading for... let's just say everyone on earth who can read. Jesse Lee Peterson's book explains the madness that is quickly engulfing America and the world, and does so with lucidity and compassion. The Antidote is written by a black man, and deals with pathologies that show up heavily in the black community, but a thoughtful reading will plainly show cause and effect to every human problem. Read this book, ponder this book--it wi... Read more
Review:SOCIAL SCIENCE & THE POLITICS OF MODERN JEWISH IDENTITY by Michael B Hart, ISBN 0804738246, Stanford U Press (Stanford Studies In Jewish History & Culture), published 2000, covers essentially the same material as Prof MacDonald but from a self-interested Jewish perspective. I saw it advertised in Commentary magazine. I will not repeat the (positive) material re: Culture of Critique by the other reviewers. COC's main disadvantage is its sheer dictionary-sized length. I have suggested Prof... Read more
Review:Jared Taylor has been a pro-white activist for years and he gives us many examples of how multi-racial societies do not work, especially for whites. The main hurdle is getting the word out about racial realities when the mainstream media will not cover it. I like David Duke better because he places more responsibility on Jews for this multi-racial society which is so anti-white. I think he is closer to the truth than Taylor. I conjecture that Taylor seeks to make an alliance with the Jews to sta... Read more
Review:Mr. Marshall's history of Crazy Horse and the upheavals in the Lakota culture make for a spell-binding book. It is very interesting to view history from a Lakota perspective, as opposed to the white-written history books many of us were force-fed in school. The people who lived on the plains in the 1800's were not the "savage and untamed" monsters depicted in many history books, just as the white forefathers (Washington, Jefferson, etc.) were not the "holy saints" they were portrayed as being. Review:Really enjoyed this book. It was an easy read as far as historical narratives go and I would recommend it to anyone who likes the "wild, wild, west." The book goes back and forth in explaining the lives of these two men in such a way that it holds one's interest. Read more
Review:My parents have had this book in their library for many years. When I saw a used copy in excellent condition for under $8.00, I was excited to add it to my library. This is a telling book of the outrageous atrocities waged against the Cherokee Natives who had embraced white men's ways and were still sold out. This book stands on its own merit. Read more
Review:I recalled this title recently from my high school years of many decades ago. In the current time, it was as powerful now as I recalled it to be. Truly a gut-wrenching classic on experiencing unethical discrimination. Read more
