The Antidote is an instant classic! This book should be required reading for... let's just say everyone on earth who can read. Jesse Lee Peterson's book explains the madness that is quickly engulfing America and the world, and does so with lucidity and compassion. The Antidote is written by a black man, and deals with pathologies that show up heavily in the black community, but a thoughtful reading will plainly show cause and effect to every human problem. Read this book, ponder this book--it will open your eyes and give you real hope that we as a nation--and the world--can find true solutions to the madness that surrounds us.

This book looks at civil rights from a very different perspective then most books which highlights the importance and dire need for reform. The author cites info about black and white issues usually heard on Fox Cable Network however he does single out the importance of forgiveness and how harboring anger can ruin anyone chances if succeeding in the world. Also, the author highlights how civil rights leaders today look at their position and the cause as a business and a humanitarian effort secondly. I noticed one or two alternative facts used to makes his point nevertheless Its a page turner.

Excellent Book, loved the historical references given,as a brother in Christ, totally agree with
this man's analysis, his application of biblical principles taught by Christ to all men, such as
forgiveness is the key.Anger comes from fear.IMHO, he is part of a talented, spiritual ten percent
of all of us ,that is loving enough to try and help the rest of us with the illuminations that God has
given him, despite the personal cost, attacks, threats etc. I am in debt to this fellow, this
book helped me understand things a whole lot better.Thank you Mr. Peterson.

Reading the Antidote (Healing America From the Poison of Hate, Blame and Victimhood) is like having a conversation with Jesse Peterson. He explains to the reader the social consequences of the breakdown of the black family, and the victim-hood mentality fueled by many of the black leaders today.

The content is written for all readers regardless of color. It creates an avenue or knowledge into the hate, blame, and the victim-hood mentality of many blacks. Peterson walks the reader through the background of victims whose lives were lost due to their circumstances and choices. But, he also walks the reader through the background of many influential black leaders of today. Peterson describes their destructive childhood, and illustrates how their unresolved childhood anger brings destruction to other blacks through an angry and blaming leadership style.

The book is extraordinary in its simplicity. Peterson presents example after example of broken hearted experiences turned into anger, self destruction, and a grievance mentality of blame due to broken families, broken values, and broken children. These broken children, become broken adults, who ultimately produce a broken black community and society. The reader is brought to this realization when Peterson states; "the family breakdown is the great social and spiritual scourge of our time."

The reader is left with a sense of hope when Peterson writes; "at BOND we work on one soul at a time." As a reader; I think this is the only way we save one another; one rescued soul reaching out to save another. Only a changed life can change the lives of others. Jesse Peterson, through God, changed his life, and he is changing the lives of others!

If there were more Jesse Petersons and if more people read this book, America would be better off. I highly recommend this book to all members of the Black Lives Matter Movement. They would find a excellent path for their movement from this book.

Wow. I have been impressed by books before. This is different. This book changed my life. The Antidote should be read by all Americans. The motives of politics, culture, and family are explained in plain words. The book revolves around forgiveness and personal responsibility, real life issues for all. It will touch your soul. More importantly, it will give you the antidote to the poison of hate, blame, and victimhood...a real problem for our country regardless of gender, class, age, or race. My family relations improved dramatically and those I talk to that read this book have the same experience. You must read this book!

America, please read this book! "The Antidote" takes the reader behind the headlines of some of the biggest racially charged stories & issues facing America and offers real hope & solutions to unite the country. If people read this book, the hatred & division between the races, men & women, family members, religious denominations, and political parties would cease to exist. The author does a beautiful job demystifying the race issue and other challenges facing America. Not only will you be better informed and enlightened about what it takes to finally fix the country -- you'll also discover the antidote to help you overcome the poison of hate, blame, and victimhood in your own life!

WOW! What a refreshing look by a brilliant man about one of America's most chronic and depressing problems! His book highlights issues that are exacerbated by those who claim that they attacking them. Families are the most basic social organization and our government, politicians, and power brokers have caused families, especially black families, to fall apart. Absent fathers are a key issue and why fathers are so important is discussed in another book I reviewed "The Power of Dadhood". I highly recommend "The Antidote"!

This book is a prime example of literature that should be required of high school students and beyond, rather than whatever is on high school and colleges lists for their 'teaching' agendas. Perfectly written, perfect title. Rev. Jesse Peterson walks the walk with his BOND organization as well. As a true American, he is doing his part to spread solutions, by simply and clearly stating facts and truth. Check out the Jesse Lee Peterson radio show as well!

This man is a very, dangerous false teacher. His teachings are based more on new age metaphysics than they are on the Scriptures. It is sad, because he has so much potential to help the black community as well as the broader population. However, until he repents and brings his teachings in line with the Scriptures and the historic Christian faith, he'll just be another false teacher, used by Satan to lead people away from the only light we have in Christ. Moreover, his teachings regarding race in America sound like they are at odds with history.

read some of the "reverend's" book...while much of it is true, Jesse still refuses to promote the be still exercise that is the very pathway to that peace that he talks about...too afraid of losing his friends in the Christian community that have judged the author of that pathway wrongly. Jesse also teaches that he is sin free and anger free...not true...an awful misrepresentation of the very real salvation state and my gripe with him! Not only that..but the very site that teaches people how to get onto the path to salvation, antidoteforall.com...Jesse has copied the main word for his book. Oh boy...how original Jesse! Not!

This is a book every person in America should read. What a Book!!! I could not put it down. If you really want to do something constructive about helping America, read this book. What are you doing to let the minority and economically disadvantaged know we've been "sold a bill of goods?".
