Review:As an aviation thriller, which is what one might presume from the way it's presented, it's pretty light on the 'aviation.' Flying is involved, but there's no you're-in-the-cockpit-turning-and-burning flying sequences; this is a spy vrs spy story which happens to involve an airline as a plot device.
As an espionage thriller, it's competent, but that's all I can really say about it. It livened up a bit at the end, which I appreciated. Overall, it just wasn't truly gripping. No real gravitas... Read more
Review:I am a great fan of Follett. I have read everything he has written and have never been disappointed. My Canadian friend put me onto this author and I am very grateful to her for many enjoyable reads. Words flow so smoothly and description put me right in the scene. Can't wait for his next book. Review:An excellent book like all of those written by Mr. Ken Follet. Entertaining, informative and factual research without engaging in unnecesary, boring and useless descriptions. Paper MoneyHugo Dothée Read more
Review:I've read several Ken Follett novels, and although some of them are powerful (Pillars of the Earth, book 1 of the Century triology), he's also striked out more than once. This is one of them. The premise was semi-interesting, but totally unbelievable. As the reader, you need to decide early on if you're going to go along with that. I could have done that, except he brought in his misogynistic self and just irritated the crap out of me. I think he might have used the words "breast," "see through"... Read more
Review:Rambling and disconnected. Story line intriguing but all over the place, ending just seemed to drop off without a good finish.
Love every other book i've read by mr. Follett this one just fell flat. So many other good reads he's written before you open this one. Read more
Review:Desde el principio el libro te atrapa, la manera como los personajes principales se relacionan a lo largo del libro enmarcados en la realidad histórica de la Primera Guerra Mundial, es sencillamente espectacular! Read more
Read more

Review:This book made me laugh and cry. This book is for everyone especially if you have a friend that you would go to great lengths for! Olive's antics are driven by her nervousness. This only amps up the entertainment encompassed within this book! Read more
Review:This was an excellent story to read and the characters were developed very nicely. I really enjoyed the overlap of true history and a fantasy that seemed to be so possible. The story moved very quickly and was definitely breathtaking and thrilling. I like the way Phil writes and will definitely be considering other books he has written. Read more
