Review:Nicholas Sansbury Smith has really crushed it with this Book 7 of the Extinction Series, Extinction War. Had the action gotten any more exciting than it is, I don't think I could have finished this zompoc novel. The characters readers of the series have cared about for some time now have changed a lot. Some have passed on as a result of the zombie war and the military coup. Heck, I even miss a mouse from the book! Captain Beckham, now Captain Beckham, has undergone drastic physical changes but h... Review:Definitely a page turner and easy to get invested in the characters. For fans of Zombie thrillers, Apocalypse fiction, and The Walking Dead. The author doesn’t downplay the hardcore reality of living in post-apocalyptic times but also doesn’t glamorize the gore. He paints realistic scenarios and delivers satisfying, if not always happy, outcomes to terrible situations. There’s an element of hope woven throughout that makes you ponder deeper questions. Well-written, well-researched and well-edite... Read more
Review:The first book was slow. The pace didn't pick up until over half way through the story, but I still enjoyed it because it was interesting enough that I wanted to find out what happened next and it involved a lot of the main characters interaction with her faith in God. However, after reading the entire story, I decided not to continue with the second book, because it was just too slow for me. About a year after I pick up the first book, again and re-read it. After finishing it for the second tim... Read more
Review:This was a good trilogy I was right there the full way through the trilogy but I didn't like the end. Spoilers ahead don't read if you haven't read the book..... Ok I have to admit I hate it when the main character loses there powers and the way she did I mean I understand it shows that she did all these amazing things on her own it wasn't because of the stone but still. I mean she grows really powerful amazingly powerful and then to lose it that turned me off right there. Other then that it... Read more
Review:I truly love Shalya Black's books! In Belong to Me, Logan must come to terms with his feelings and emotions for Tara Jacobs all the while knowing her could place her in danger yet again. The way Black describes thier relationship both in and out the bedroom is truly wonderful! Read more
Review:Griffin Reed, I, More Than Need YOU! Yes, yes I do! I have a love for all things written by Shayla Black. This book here pulls at the heart strings. I was so frustrated at times and wanted to stop reading. I couldn't, I had to know what happened. I felt one with these characters: their pain, their joy, their sadness. Read more

Review:Some SPOILERS......
I feel let down with this final installment in the series. I really liked the first three books, but this one felt contrived and forced. The plot point with Liam's mom being a psychic was just a convenient (and lazy) way to move the plot along without doing the work of actually telling the story. I also thought the story line was predictable and flat. Of course Marlie was the "bad guy". Who couldn't see that one coming? I really wanted to like this one, but it ju... Read more
