Review:This book was like a soap opera, here is installment 1. Writing style good, just didn't like fact that this book was like reading the first 4 chapters of a book and then realizing the rest of the book was missing. Read more
Review:A greatly entertaining book, and a wonderful new installment in the Cassie Palmer series. It was jam packed full of the action, adventure, and wit that has made these books such a delight. The plot twists and continued world building were clever, and the characters were, as ever, sharp and vibrant. Rarely does a book make me laugh and want to tear my hair out at the same time as much as this one did. A very satisfying read. Read more
Review:The plot follows so many other alternate reality plots, with Biblical references throughout. However, the concepts are modern and echo current tides. The writing is captivating and the storyline gripping. It is well worth the read. Read more
Review:Okay, let us see this magnificent cover lure us in. This was a nice installment for the third book in which I think it's a, 4 book series. I liked this book overall, but the main protagonist, Amy, annoyed me a bit some by her actions with Nox.
Other than that I could enjoy this book, the ending came out of nowhere, but I liked it. This book has a lot of events you don't expect. I'm excited for the 4th book already. Read more
Review:Very well written. It was a different spin on the Oz that I have always known. Dorothy as the villain is a cool spin to Dorothy the victim. A little creepy how the Tin Woodman, Scarecrow, and Lion are portrayed. Read more
Review:This book failed to impress. Maybe something is lost in translation. Characters bored me. Plot was predictable. Overall snorefest. I only gave it a two because it did manage to keep me from having to talk to the guy next to me on the plane. Read more
Review:With her blend of history and fantasy, Alma Katsu comes blazing out of the gates with her first novel. The best aspect of this novel is the fact that the fantasy part of the story is very obtuse. You don't really know what the main character, Lanny McIlvrae is except that she is immortal. With Lanny's beginnings told in flashbacks to Dr. Luke Findley, the reader is drawn into this story of doomed love and dark desires.
Dr. Luke Findley has hit rock bottom. His wife has left him and he fee... Read more
Review:This book was wonderful. The only thing bad about it, is the fact that it is a novella, thus shorter than a normal book! I have already read it twice, and I'm on my second reading of Dorothy Must Die. I cannot wait until the next publication comes out! I haven't waited for books like this since the Harry Potter series. Review:Note: I received ARC of this book from the publisher, in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
Margaret’s biggest fear came to life on happiest day of her life.
This is one of the most charming and lovable book I ever read. Just as blurb said it touch my heart and made me feel all kind of emotions at every page. How to Walk away is a women fiction revolved around Margaret, her life and family. It was about the courage, hope, and love. About how to move on in life after losing... Read more
Review:Perfect conclusion to Summers' Crown Jewel Romantic Comedy Series...although I would wish for more stories of this delightful Royal Family! Tessa and Arthur's tales of the 9 months of pregnancy were so realistic and down to earth I felt as if Summers had taken copious notes from my own days of child bearing. Perfect ending to a delightful trilogy....but would love to see it become a series. Read more
