Review:I RECOMMEND THIS AUTHOR SCOTT WESTERFELD. I HAD NEVER READ ANYTHING BY HIM BEFORE. THIS WAS THE FIRST SERIES I HAVE READ OF HIS . I LOVED EVERY SINGLE BOOK. THE EXTRAS WAS A BIT SLOW TO START, BUT DID GET BETTER. I LIKED HOW HE TIED IN TALLY AND SHAY INTO THIS LAST BOOK. GREAT READ. SCOTT'S IMAGINATION TO HAVE DEVELOPED THIS STORY LINE LEAVES ME TO WONDER WHAT HE THINKS OF OUR WORLD AND THE PEOPLE IN IT. OR IS HE JUST CONTROLED BY OTHERS. Read more

Review:She always kept my attention and this book exceeded all my expectations and made it hard for me to put it down.

I felt for Stacy on a personal level, and the way she was treated by her peers was just so sad and heart wrenching.

A great read for anyone looking for something different and changing it up for a bit. Read more

The Ugly American
The Ugly American

Review:Although written in 1958, the lessons extolled in this easy-to-read collection of stories remain relevant today. I lived in Panama for over three years and witnessed many of the characters and policies discussed within this book. It amazes me how little U.S. policy and influence have changed since then. We need to get beyond what J. William Fulbright termed The Arrogance of Power and engage the world at a more fundamental level. As the authors make the case for, America has a tremendous am... The Ugly Stepsister Strikes Back
The Ugly Stepsister Strikes Back

Review:This is a cute story about teenage love, insecurity, tempers, competition and odd relationships...and also a lot of misunderstanding between people who are so wrapped up in protecting their own feelings they really don't know those they should be closest to. It is a new twist on the Cinderella story that will make you laugh and cry as you remember those tumultuous, really, really, really difficult teenage years. Read more

Review:This book is absolutely amazing! I read it once about a month ago and then had to read it again. The characters are hilarious in their own quirky ways and there is never a dull moment, ever. I highly recommend this book but make sure you have time to just sit and read because once you start you're not going to want to stop. Read more

The Impossible Fortress: A Novel
The Impossible Fortress: A Novel

Review:The Impossible Fortress has been generating a lot of buzz since last summer when the review copies came out, and rightfully so. It’s hard to believe this is a debut novel, because it’s smoothly designed and hugely original. It’s written with a deftly woven plot that never misses a step; engaging characters that are nearly corporeal, they are so well sculpted; and an utterly captivating voice that unspools the narrative. Best of all, it’s hilarious! I thank Net Galley and Simon and Schuster for m... Read more

The Color of Lightning: A Novel

Review:In her excellant sequil to News of the World, Jiles again links her knowledge of frontier history and Native American culture with a heartfelt story of the risks faced by early settlers of the American plains and the emotional changes experienced by captive children. Read more
