Review:Wow!! Fantastic book. Loved Peter & Sarah. Such clever writing once again from Anna Zaires. I could not put this book down & so happy I could buy the follow up as I needed more of their story. Huge 5 stars from me! Read more
Review:Great book for building self esteem for young kids who are trying to learn how to eat properly, use the bathroom properly, use proper manners, etc. Awesome illustrations! I wish you could buy a large, simplified version of the illustrations in a soloring book to go along with the book. Read more
Review:The beauty of this book is that it is interactive (especially for a baby/toddler fascinated by the word NO). The illustrations are clever and the text is simple enough for smaller children to understand and follow. Read more
Review:The storyline is cute, the illustrations are adorable. The humor of the book is fantastic. However, it had such a lean towards an excellent learning experience for kids and it ended in a totally random way. I was thinking of how i'd write the book myself as I started reading it and was really surprised that they didn't take it towards the "keep trying and don't be afraid" direction. Also the "look at what you're missing out in life by being afraid" direction. I ordered it off the first half,... Read more
Review:This book is refreshing: the idea of a child architect is novel to both children and parents, yet the life lessons in the book are simple and straightforward. Fun, interesting illustrations. Such a welcomed departure from trucks and princesses. It's currently my favorite gift for boys 2-5, although this book can and should be enjoyed by both sexes and all ages! Read more
Review:An excellent sequel to Lynch's first two books, The Republic of Thieves starts off soon after the last book began, with Locke dying from a slow poisoning and Jean willing to do absolutely anything to save his life. We eventually learn more about the mysterious mages who are the Gentlemen Bastards sworn enemies, and follow the further adventures of Locke and Jean, meet a mysterious figure from their past, and watch as they try to rig an election. A great read! Read more
Review:A very interesting and exciting read. The author obviously researches his subject well, and has a nice flowing style. I have read all of his books, and will be sorry when the Mitch Rapp series comes to an end. Read more
Review:This book fuses two sagas--Kerry Kilcannon of the Kilcannon family and Chris Paget's courageous judge Caroline Masters. So, given such great examples of Patterson's formidable reservoir of charcters, why does this story in the final analysis fall into the stale cliche of a contemporary hot-button issue--that of abortion rights? A new President has to come up with an appointee for the Supreme Court, and it turns out to be none other than Aunt Caroline (Judge Masters has a beloved niece who's actu... Read more
Review:Vince Flynn weaves an intriguing tale with interesting characters involving three religions and multiple countries. The sometimes strange relationships mirror the complexities of the Middle East. Very entertaining. Read more
Review:I recently ordered new copies of the Mitch Rapp series. I find it infuriating that the original books have all been altered so that Emily Bestler can stick in her pitch for a book (The Survivor) written by someone else. Flynn made lots of sloppy errors, but had good stories and good character development which continued as the series progressed. The errors would have been corrected by a competent editor, and their ongoing presence shows that this editor is either incompetent or that she doesn... Read more
