Review:A Separate Peace by John Knowles is a book of 200 pages that could be condensed to twenty. A Separate Peace is filled with descriptions and elaborate details that could be taken out of the book without taking any substance from the actual story. Although the detailed descriptions made me think that this place actually existed, I would have rather read a story with a better plot than one with excessive description. Because this book did not have a clear plot, the author basically repeated the ... Read more
Review:Joyce, man of Letters, fluent in Languages, Traveler in circles high and low and places near and far, Scholar of knowledge, Prophet to Mankind.
Joyce's Ulysses (is the story of a young man) whose framework is Homer's Odyssey: a tale of Modern-day Odysseus' personal existential/sexual quest overcoming his psychological internal travails (not Odysseus' external travails) affirming humanity (the fundamental family unit: the father, mother, son, and daughter). Review:No surprise, Toni Morrison has another hit on her hands. I was so anxious to get it and read it in one sitting! It is a definite page turner weaved with many life lessons in between. What I walked away with after reading were the spirit filled teachings of letting go of the past and people's perceptions of you. In a short amount of pages, Ms. Morrison presents these really great characters and all their issues with a terrific resolve that leaves you wanting more. Read more
Review:A wonderful way to end a story and a series. The writer has command of this story right out the gat and never lets up.I love this chemistry between the two main characters ,it jumps from the pages.I love that there are moments when the men in this story are human as in they are not afraid to be vulnerable.I love that we get a full story with good solid writing and an excellent storyline. If you want a worthy story and series this is the one. Review:This series will be a bit more for adults with some sexual situations. However, all in good taste and not over the top. Like the Academy Series a book good to the last page. Again I loved the Academy guys. I am anxiously awaiting the next book in both book series. There were a few errors in the book, however, unless you are a stickler for absolutely perfect books, you will still enjoy this book. Hard to put down... Read more
Review:What a great way to start a series! Nic is a very easy character to like, and his adventures were non stop. I couldn't put the book down, it flowed perfectly. I especially loved Caela :-) The way the other used Roman history in her story was very well done. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series. Read more
Review:Dairy of an Oxygen Thief is the most honest book that anyone can relate to. I feel a lot of people have gone through something like this, on either ends. Im not a reader but when I was told of this book and saw some reviews I thought I go for it and honestly loved it and makes me want to read more like this. Its hard finding really great books too. Author did an awesome job. Defiantly recommend it but you honestly have to have an open mind and be mature about it, it is very sexual. Read more
Review:My wife and I both love this book and the two proceeding ones. The exquisite characterization, the improbable love story, and the indeflatable plot are some of the reasons we recommend this wonderful book.

Review:I've really enjoyed Ward's books, but this one didn't live up to expectations. I was really looking forward to Assail and Sola's story - more so than many of the others, and this book just did not deliver. Their whole love story was anticlimactic and felt phoned-in. The way Sola behaved throughout much of the book felt out of character. Several things in the story bothered me, but the worst was at the end; Sola's way of being an "equal partner" to Assail didn't take the bad taste out of my mouth... Read more
