THIEF (Boston Underworld Book 5)

A wonderful way to end a story and a series.The writer has command of this story right out the gat and never lets up.I love this chemistry between the two main characters ,it jumps from the pages.I love that there are moments when the men in this story are human as in they are not afraid to be vulnerable.I love that we get a full story with good solid writing and an excellent storyline.If you want a worthy story and series this is the one.

A. Zavarelli defies the phenomena that has plagued my reading of series lately... where my usual 'go to' author's latest installment in a series is not as good as the others. However, The Boston Underworld stamina continues with Thief...the plots, the characters and the writing simply keeps getting better and better! If you haven't started the series, stop wasting time!

Nikolai and Tanaka are two broken souls and they take you on the ride of your life. You get to witness the cruelty they endured and learn why they are the way they are.

This book was captivating.
This isn't the first Russian mob book I've read so there were aspects I was familiar with. I really wish that i had started with book 1.
This is dark love story. It's almost hard to comprehend how these two fall in love. You must keep reminding yourself that their world is different than everyone else's. Great story. I enjoyed the epilogue.
I will definitely be reading more by this author.

I’m sad that this is the last book in this series. The Boston Underworld is one of my favorite’s and Thief is icing on the cake. I was instantly sucked in.

Tanaka is a ballerina growing up in the mafia world. She’s lived a hard, sheltered life but is stronger than she knows.

I hated Nikolai In the beginning. His actions so many times made me think to myself “oh hellll no!” But “Thief” has many twists and turns.

Nikolai and Tanaka face many obstacles, so many that you don’t really know how it’s going to end. All of the angst had me up late just to see what would happen next.

This is a must read for anyone who loves dark mafia romances.

Gah! I love this series so much! I am so sad it’s come to an end, but it’s been a hell of a ride. I wasn’t sure what to make of Nikolai at first, but he definitely ended up stealing my heart. I really enjoyed the chemistry between him and Tanaka, even when they fought against it. Their fate was truly written in the stars. I loved every minute! If you’re into mafia romance, you absolutely have to check out this fantastic series!

It’s a mafia book so there is some violence. Be warned, but it’s not overwhelming and fits with the storyline. By the time it happens you will hate the bad guys a lot.

This author can write a great plot with great characters. No typos. Engaging from start to finish.

I’ve read most of her books and love all of them.

Nikolai can be a cruel man but personally I think he doesn't like being that way, especially toward his girl, but sometimes his girl needs that even if she doesn't think it she needs that firm hand, “you should always be sore from my ***k,” he declares. “You should always remember who owns you.” I really liked this book, it did have some harsh moments but you can tell that the men in this series are devoted to their women.

I am sad that this series ends, but it was tied up nicely...I appreciated how the storylines flow with Ghost. ...I loved that when we met the characters in Ghost and we new only a little of them but we knew we wanted to know more...with Thief she brought them to life and just made us love them... A Zavarelli,s storylines only get better with each book and I am glad I have the chance to find this author and my love for this series!

Another amazing read. Definitely dark, very dark, as is the mafia. Unique storyline that will capture your attention and have you on the edge of your seat until the end. Nikolai is definitely someone you’ll hate to love. You will be tested and pushed out of your comfort zone, but so worth the read. Must read Ghost before you read Thief. Highly recommend this book if you love dark, twisted stories and the mafia.

All the previous books in the Boston Underground Series have rocked my world! Thief is no different!

A. Zavarelli has written the best organized crime series that I have read to date! But, I want more!

I've managed to fall in love and lust with every Russian gangster she has created. The women who wear their stars are very lucky girls indeed.

I love the Boston Underworld by A. Zavarelli and Thief definitely did not dissapoint! It might just be my favorite book in the series!

Suspense, romance, heartbreak and action filled this novel and every aspect was executed perfectly!

I'm sad that the series is ending by A. Zavarelli ended it with the perfect couple and with a bang!

I absolutely loved this book and the characters just jump out at you and suck you into the story. I have read and own every book in this Boston Underworld series and they are all so well written that you feel like you are there with them. I really hate to see this series end because I am in love with it. Excellent book that everyone will love. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.

Another Amazing book from Ashleigh. This series has been phenomenal and this book is a fantastic addition.

Thief is full to the brim with darkness, Sexiness. You will feel every emotion possible it’s raw, heartbreaking and a journey of battling demons and finding vengeance.

Nikolai and Tanaka’s story is dark, and heart-wrenching that makes you keep turning the pages. An intense dark romantic read that is by no means plain sailing, but tells the Love story of two very different worlds colliding and coming together in the most dark gritty and intense way.

I really love all the books in this series . But this one I couldn’t even finish . I didn’t connect with the characters . It was really different from her other books . I look forward to more books from this author in the future . Just not any like this one . ??

I loved the, Thief. I didn’t realize how much I missed the Boston Underworld until I read book 5. It’s been awhile since I read book 4 so I was super excited to see book 5. A. Zavarelli does it again and I’m hoping we get more. You won’t be disappointed Nikolai and Nikita’s story is good, dark at times, and they struggle but it was just as good as the others in the Series.

So, the lead annoyed me. He wasn't very decisive. He wasn't very brave. I'm left disappointed. I also felt Victor was a problem that was never taken care of. These aren't tough mafia guys, they're creampuffs.

What a story! The Hero is just so awfully evil and sinister. I eventually forgave him and warmed up to him especially after learning how he came to redeem himself to his lady love. Great work from a super author! Ms. Zavarelli is an automatic one-click for me. I love all her books. Please keep them coming. I wonder who's next? Could it be Mischa? One can only hope!

I didn't like this book at all. I skipped so many pages just trying to get something out of it. The two main characters were so frustrating throughout the entire book, I couldn't connect with either of them. This book was boring and very slow. Not sure I can read any more of the series as it seems to go downhill from after the 3rd book.

Omg what a helluva book there's so many thing's happening in it that once you get started the story pulls you in and pretty soon you can't flip pages fast enough to find out what was happening next. Excellent book it deserves more than 5 stars I'd definitely recommend it plus you'll need tissues.

I’ve loved all the books in this series so far, and this one definitely did not disappoint.
Ms. Zavarelli stayed true to her writing style and had me gripped from the start, it had everything I’ve come to expect from her mafia men and I loved it all. There was definite ‘hand over mouth’ moments and I won’t lie, I did a little shudder at some descriptive dark parts. So bad but so good!

This stimulating, skillfully written book is an attention grabber. Charismatic and a diverse, h/ h that are engaging. A layered, detailed storyline that is sensual and sultry. Betrayal, loyalty, a strong sense of brotherhood, decisions and challenges changes lives. This well defined story makes this a page turner, anticipating more. A HEA, the icing on the cake.

Can't believe this is book 5 of the series. I felt like it was book one and I was falling in love all over again with these characters. There is something about how this author writes that just captures you from the very first word. This book was no exception. I was itching to read the next word, sentence, paragraph, page, and chapter. I couldn't put it down.

This was a very good story, good character development. I loved and bled for Tanaka, as she was thrust into a situation not of her doing. I also loved and could have choked Nikolai for his hot/cold treatment of her, but glad that the ice melted for him. I really disliked her father and his boss. Overall, this was a great read, and I would recommend it.

I cannot get enough of this series. This author has a way of making the Mafia world seem enticing and like a moth to the flame I keep coming back. This isn't a sugary sweet romance. Yet, it draw you in still the same wanting the men of this series to find a piece of light to keep them from becoming a soulless monster. I hope there is more to come in this series.

This was a great story with a unique spin. I enjoyed the characters and story however in hindsight, I would rather have read the books in order despite it being a standalone. The narration was great- well edited and performed. Great read- just read the whole series for maximum enjoyment :)

A. Zavarelli continues to put out amazing books! “Thief” was sexy and forbidden and full of suspense. Tanaka was a ballerina who fell from grace and into Nikolai’s path. Nikolai had his own agenda which quickly changed and the past was redeemed! This story was sexy and heart stopping! Truly A. Zavarelli is a master at writing the mafia world!

I have been waiting for this book for so long and as usual it does not disappoint. That being said, I did find the beginning quite hard to follow, so many characters at once and the Russian dialect. But once the story centered around Nika and Tanaka it flowed just like the rest. It is another terrific book in a terrific series.

This book is a must read book. This the ending of this amazing series. This story will have you feeling every emotions possible. This book will have you loving the authors writing style as it will blow you out of the water. This book is a amazing read and consider this book a amust as you will love this amazing story..

Another fantastic read by Zavarelli. Russian mafia mixed with Italian mafia means drama.... good ass drama! A Russian thief with an Italian ballerina, who would have thought? Nikolai thought he had it all figured out....... until Tanaka.

An absolutely breathtaking story! She would be his. He would consume her every thought. Take without asking. Hold her prisoner. She soon would fall helpless to the power that desperately wanted to burn her alive. She would be the greatest treasure he had ever stolen and she would steal something in return. His heart.

I have loved this whole series and I am so sad it is over! I was constantly checking for when it would be released and once I got the email I immediately went to read it. I love how the books all feed into each other so you get to put the whole story together as well as see everyone from all the books come together.

Why do all my favorite reads end so quickly? Lol. Loved this book though reason about her issues was hard for me on a personal level but perhaps that's why I liked it so much. Well that & the fact that it has to do with Russians. I'm a sucker for Russian mafia books. Anywho this was a good quick read.

Zavarelli is a pro at creating the perfect crime syndicate characters. Her bad boys have a secret mushy center that make you think "what a great guy!", while secretly loving all the depraved things they do. Everytime I find a new addition to this series, it's an instant one click and plan changer.

Nikolai and his ballerina, Tanaka. The Boston Underworld Series is so very good. I enjoyed getting to know the Russian mafia's, Nikolai and the Italian mafia princess, Tanaka. Turned out that they made an amazing match. I recommend this book as well as the series.

Thief made me wanna cry, swoon and be a good girl so maybe, just maybe a hot Russian mobster will have me on his radar! My not being a svelte little ballerina with ties to the mob notwithstanding but I digress.

Sometimes the sequels in a series feel like they’d have been better off leaving great enough alone (Crossfire). If you recognized that safe word and it triggered a disappointing memory I can assure you this sequel, unlike the series that Bared itself for about two books too many, brings fresh and new story lines worth experiencing.

I don’t know how this author does it, but each book in this series is better than the last. I couldnt put this one down and I absolutely LOVED all the back and forth and push and pull between Nikolai andTanaka. The story also had lots of twists and turns and I liked that I was often surprised. Well done!

In book 4, I hated this main character, but as more of him was revealed he stole my heart and my attention until the book was finished. I simply couldn't put it down. I don't think I ever want the Boston Underworld series to end. If you want something haunting and beautiful, sickening and entrancing, then this is the book for you.

Tanaka and Nikolai's story is edgy, with a little dark, and a lot of steamy. I felt the characters were well developed and very likeable, which made it a straight thru read for me, regrettably it was done before I knew it. I can't wait to read more of this author

This whole series has been absolutely incredible. The eloquence in which the hero and heroines are portrayed is beyond compare. Ms. Zavarelli writes like she has lived and breathed the mafia underworld , that’s how well researched and written her novels are. Hey, who knows? Maybe she has. ?

This is a keep you on the edge of your seat, what did I just read kind of book. I love Mafia books and this book knocks it out of the park. And don't even get me started with Nikolai. Holy hot sauce.

Book 5 in the Boston Underworld series. I have to admit, I did not read the prior books and didn’t feel like I was lost so I think it can be read as a standalone although it is most likely better to read the series in order. I did have a hard time following all the language changes in the book. I do read a lot of mafia books, but this one was a bit more complex. It may also have to do with all the nicknames which is a pet peeve of mine especially when they make the names so similar.

We begin when Tanaka's dream is coming true, she is dancing on the stage in a grand performance, but she is sabotaged. She ends up in Nikolai’s care as collateral for her father’s debt. Although the story is good and I did want to get to the end, I didn’t find the connection between the characters that strong and didn’t really enjoy the story overall.

this is the 5th and final book in the Boston underworld series and I have to say it's my most favourite by far!
Tanaka and Nikolai make such an amazing twosome, I devoured this story because I couldn't put it down!

It wasn’t my favorite in the series but it was definitely up there. This was a great series and I loved every single one, none as much as Crow, but this one was equally as amazing! I like the small snippets of the other guys this one added. Definitely worth a read.

Where do I even begin with Theif!! It's so dark, edgy, thrilling and captivating. Nikoli and Tanaka are so soul consuming in their own ways. I loved every word. I loved the emotional current that overcame me while reading. Its fantastic and a must read!

I love the filth in this book it is wow no words and I could not put it down fora minute it didn't look like it would work out that made even better the series a must read and in order it's just that awesome

I have thoroughly enjoyed this entire series and Thief is no exception. Zavarelli is so great at tying plot together and creating intricate story lines that will keep you entertained. I also love her characters so much. She’s going to have you loving the bad boy by the end. Thief is intense but you’ll love it! I highly recommend!

As any reading addict will tell you, some books are just that good, that doing anything else is a waste of a day. This book is just that good. Make sure you have time because once you start you will neglect everything else.

I passed by this series a few times thinking “ it’s not my type of book” By chance I got a free “Crow” to read so I thought what the heck. I was so wrong about this series- and so addicted. All of these characters are flawed- so human - and they make such a great family collectively. I just can’t say enough good things ?

I couldn’t wait for Nikolai and Tanaka since they were introduced in Ghost, and I loved every part of it. The story was deeper than I originally thought. Tanaka seems like the perfect young girl, taken for her fathers debts.... but you know things aren’t always as they seem. I was also very happy to see more Alexei. ❤️

Nikolai and Tanaka’s story is awesome, emotional, gritty and down right dirty. This is a great addition to the Boston Underworld series. I highly recommend this book and this series. I freely reviewed this ARC.

What a fantastic read! This was absolutely un-put-downable. This series just keeps getting better and better! This grabbed my attention like usual with its character depth, amazing plot, and steady pace. Not to mention the writing skills of A. - superb!! Plenty of twists to keep you hooked. A definite must read.

If you've read the previous book from this author you know she will not disappoint with this one . The characters were a bit annoying but it was a good solid read kept me until 2:00 am just to finish it!!!

This book captivated me from the beginning! I couldn't put it down once I started to read it! I love how you can actually feel the depth of emotion and turmoil that the author portrays and keeps you wondering how this love story will end.

I loved this book, as I have loved all of the other books in the series. Now that it’s over, I’m considering starting the entire series over again. The characters are complex and easy to love. I’m sorry to see the series end.

My apologies to writer. I really couldn't rate this book properly. Missing pages drives me nuts. This happens far to often. I believe it's kindle's fault because I've had it happen in all different books by different authors. Authors should check their books once their put into kindle. There's nothing worse to a reader then then then blank pages. So sad ???
