Three in Death
Three in Death

Review:I enjoyed this book because there were three short stories. All the stories were great. I like J.D. Robb (Nora Roberts). I have been reading her stories for years and these three are right up there with all of her others. Read more

An Eve Dallas Novel (In Death - Book 47) - Leverage in Death

Review:I've been a fan of these books and this author for years. I don't think I could ever be disappointed by anything she wrote. I love Eve and Roarke as much as I love my dearest friend. I'm happy to go along on their journey... wherever it might take them. Read more

Do Not Become Alarmed
Do Not Become Alarmed

Review:This novel started out slowly and the writing seemed stilted---however, it picked up steam and told a long story of people connected by a tragedy. The ending leaves the reader wondering what happened to all these people. Read more

The Awakening
The Awakening

Review:Although this book may have been the cat's meow in its day,
today it is one huge bored yawn. The characters were cardboard and
not a bit relatable. You do not identify with anything about
these privileged ladies , and you do not even care what happens to them.
So sorry I wasted both my money and my time. Read more

The Awakening (The Vampire Diaries, Vol. 1)
The Awakening (The Vampire Diaries, Vol. 1)

Review:I bought this book in the compilation of 1 and 2, but wanted to leave my feedback separately. I really enjoyed this book. I had never read it growing up but got into the series on TV. I knew from basic knowledge of the book that a lot didn't follow the book, but then, which shows based on a book does? I was quite taken with the story and really enjoyed the characters in the book far better than the tv series. The first book(as I haven't gotten to the second one yet) is a must read for teen horro... Read more

Second Hand Heart
Second Hand Heart

Review:I know from experience that the basis of this story is true. We donated our daughter's organs when she died. The man who received her heart said that when he woke up from surgery, he fe!t so much happiness. Hey had never felt that way before. Our daughter was an extremely happy person, and we attributed this !and joy to our daughter. This book helped to confirm our feelings. Thank you for this heartfelt book. Read more

(Discworld Novel 13) (Discworld series) - Small Gods
(Discworld Novel 13) (Discworld series) - Small Gods

Review:In this era of triumphant religious fundamentalism, Small Gods is a pretty dangerous item to be seen carrying. Terry Pratchett, carrying a reputation of being a major force in writing fantasy and humour has shed both in this penetrating book. It's an incisive satire of the mores and methods of the three major religions of Western Civilization. Pratchett's astute axiom that the Discworld is a "mirror of worlds" applies with more force here than any other Discworld book. Pratchett casts a... Read more

The Book of Lost Things Illustrated Edition
The Book of Lost Things Illustrated Edition

Review:The Book of Lost Things: The lost things, yes, as well as the sometimes "LOST" passion, dedication, and charming pleasures in reading a good and well-written book. It is difficult to find the "one adjective" I would use if someone were to ask me to resume this novel in one word. I read a lot of books (and of all kinds and genres), but very seldom (unfortunately) I feel a sense of melancholy and nostalgia once I have finished it. These mixed feelings, after all, are most positive. I think that on... Read more

Into The Forest
Into The Forest

Review:This is a wonderful book. I am not prone to crying while reading a novel, but Hegland brings the characters so close to you, that I felt I was suffering with them. This is a novel that encourages you to preserve and cherish the natural world ...including yourself and your loved ones. And it reminds you that we are certainly overlooking the really beautiful and fundamental gifts from nature to grab at unnecessary things in this so-called civilization in which we live. This novel makes you wan... Read more
