Review:A re-telling of "The One Thousand and One Nights" (aka "The Arabian Nights") - LOVE the idea. I wish the execution were a little better.
Ahdieh does a good job of making us readers connect emotionally with the two main characters, Shahrzad and Khalid, which is enough to carry a good part of the story. But the power behind the story comes from two supporting characters - Shiva and Tariq - that we just don't get enough about to make the drama as powerful as it could be.
Shahrzad is f... Read more
Review:This book is awesome! It has made Tricia L. an auto buy author for me for sure. I love the characters and the story, and I'm sad that it is only a duology- I could read a ton more books in this world! Read more
Review:The Hazel Wood was a dark, gritty and unique novel. I was intrigued by this story from beginning to end. There was something so consuming and addictive about this book. The author's writing style was captivating and whimsical, I loved it.
The plot of this book was interesting, but there were times when the book felt a bit slow. There were a lot of times when the book was so descriptive that it felt like the plot wasn't actually moving anywhere. As I said, I loved the writing, however, I d... Read more

Review:Thank you to Blogging for Books for a physical copy in exchange for my honest review.
Leigh Bardugo has done it again. I loved her Shadow and Bone Trilogy and I have now loved Wonder Woman!
If you've seen the movie just forget almost everything about it when it comes to this book. Well maybe besides how good Gal Gadot is an amazing Wonder Woman. Okay, Let's get to the actual book now.
Princess Diana is the underdog on the Island she's the Queens daughter and because she hasn... Read more
Review:***MINOR SPOILERS ***
Well. That was disappointing.
I feel like I could talk for a long time about why I didn’t care for this book much. Firstly, the tone. Caraval was magical, with a hint of danger. You weren’t quite sure what aspects were real, but that was okay, it was all part of the mystique. Well you can chuck all that mystique out the window for Legendary. Instead of being magical, the tone is very dark, and not in the cool-dangerous-hot guy way, but in the gross-morbid-cree... Read more
Review:Honestly, sci-fi is not my thing. It's one of the last genres I read stuff from, but there is something about Aussie authors that makes anything and everything worthwhile. Pretty much everyone and their whole extended family had good things to say about this novel, but I probably wouldn't have bought it if it hadn't been for the outstanding format that this book is written in (+ that hardcover ok). Welllllllll when the book arrived, I was sure that this book was not meant for me, because guess w... Read more
Review:I like the stories. However these are VERY short books. The stories end at the 64% mark on my Kindle. The last third is filled with teasers and acknowledgements. A little longer than short stories, I think they should be priced much cheaper. Read more
Review:The Fever Code covered several years, often skipping over months, even years, at a time. Many questions were answered including how Dr. Paige became chancellor and why Thomas and Teresa ended up helping to create the maze. I was always uneasy about Teresa reading the other books in the series, but I couldn’t put my finger on it. That was also answered in a rather startling epilogue. Of all the Maze Runner books, this one is the best. I highly recommend it to Maze Runner fans. For people new to t... Read more
Review:It was nice to refresh my memory on the early books, as I always forget what happened in what book. I bought the Kindle Fire version and my only wish, was that it had page numbers and a chapter index so I could pop back and forth easily. I enjoyed the questions and answers and opinions Diana Gabaldon provides throughout. Now, on to the second Outlandish Companion book for the remaining books. Read more
