Review:I read a lot of these short stories. Mostly they are about stoic men drinking and either killing other people, getting killed, killing themselves, remembering a death, or being witness to some death of something. Read more
Review:I loved this spin off of the Lords of the Underworld series. We got to see a bit about the angels when we met Lysander and later with Olivia as well but Zacharel has been the coldest angel both literally and figuratively. He has little to no care about anything in the world other than killing demons. Because of that he is sentenced to lead a rag-tag group of angels who are so close to falling that it could happen at any time. His fate is there fate and vice versa. But it all changes when he meet... Read more

I was excited to hear that this series was getting three more books! Needless to say that Dorothea's story was one of my favorites, even more than the three previous books.
It's a story about bullying, family problems and how a woman's resolve to help her family makes her stronger. I liked Daniel as the male protagonist. He and his friends have lots to deal with (PTSD mostly)... Read more
Review:Ultimately, I really liked The Darkest Secret. I have been on the LOTU bandwagon since the beginning. The books have evolved, as a series does, I guess. They were pretty dark in the beginning, although there has always been some humor.
What worked for me - Amun. LOVED Amun. The strong and silent type has never been so well represented. He has such a good grip on who he is, who is friends are and what they are all about. He probably understands his friends better than they understand thems... Read more
Review:I was really looking forward to this new series by GS. The novella "The One You Want" was ok and I was interested in Jase & Brook Lynn story. I was so let down...
***spoilers****
First for me was our hero sleeps with our heroines sister! Brook Lynn walks in on him dressing from just having sex with her sister. This is how our h/h meet. Jase soon realizes it was a mistake but Jase and Brook Lynn never talk about it before they hook up. She says she'll never sleep with a guy who ... Read more
Review:I hate when people tell all about the story line. I just want you to know Gena is back. This book was awesome. I love the harpies. The fighting, loving, and one liners as digs against other harpies is funny and very entertaining. It is a must read for anyone who was let down with her last book in this series. This will bring you back and get you ready for Paris's book. Loved it. Read more
Review:"He couldn't have her without committing to her. He had to have her, but he couldn't commit to her. It was the surest way to lose her forever."
I'll admit, I was a little apprehensive reading this book after not quite loving the first book in this series. But then Beck O'ckley was the hero that really captivated me in The Closer You Come with his one-and-done policy with women. Who doesn't love an unrepentant manwhore? I certainly do. Then you have the heroine, Harlow Glass, as the most h... Read more
Review:Finally, Torin, finds happiness and a woman that's just as awesome as him. Great story, good plot line; you really get to know the characters and feel for them. They make me laughed, cried, and didn't want to put it down. I would recommend this book to anyone; who wants to read an awesome book. Read more
Review:I haven't read any of the other books in this series but was thankful when I started reading The Darkest Pleasure it wasn't necessary. Obviously each book is a story in it's own though still tying all characters together. Gena Showalter did a lovely job in writing this book, the characters have depth and heart. I don't care for heroines who are so tough they aren't even women anymore, or so bitchy and mean they can never take correction. Danica is lovely and written with some grace, Reyes...... Read more
