Review:The cover was so beautiful I wanted to step through and be that girl. The description was inviting, however, upon finishing the book... I wished the story could have been as beautiful as the cover. The story wasn't horrible. I have read worse- however I wish the author was a little more original instead of using a story that already exists and change a few things and call it new. As I was reading it I felt like I was watching (reading) a Disney movie. Oh well... here's to the next book. Read more
Review:Purchased this as a gift for a friend that absolutely adores Wes Anderson, but unfortunately she already had a copy. I ended up keeping the book for myself and it now rests happily as a centerpiece on my bookshelf. It's also great as a coffee table book. Read more

Review:Murch is considered the most influential and effective editors of the last 50 years, and with good reason. He worked on Apocolypse Now, The Godfather trilogy, and many other films. He also successfully made the transition from film to digital media, and had a deep understanding of both the artistic and practical considerations of editing. The book is an adaptation of a lecture, and it shows in the conversational style. Read more
Review:Outstanding book for both the prop and character photos, as well as the textual background on the creative details from the film and how elements work within the Star Wars universe. It enhances the film viewing experience by adding depth to the background details of the film. Next time I see the film I'll be looking for things I may have otherwise overlooked. The book is also a perfect complement to the official Art Of.... book. The original Star Wars art of books included both concept art and p... Read more
Review:I love this book. I love everything about it from the way the cover feels to how the pages smell. I think it perfectly captures the universe these two have made together. All of the amazing anecdotes and jokes aside, my favorite part of this entire literary journey was the photos of Dan and Phil's stuff next to each other. Like their shoes or their shirts. They're like a perfectly balanced pair. And the juxtaposition of Dan's black to Phil's colors was so visually pleasing! Well done, gentlemen... Read more
Review:I love Potter's universe and Rowling's writing. I personally am having a time with reading a screenplay. I will enjoy the book when its released. The story is as always great fun, just the screenplay style is not my preference. Read more
Review:This text gets an extra star because I'm familiar with the original copy.
The pages are a recycled mess, with blurred pictures in an array of
font sizes. The pictures are minuscule without a microscope.
I'm certain I have my three decades old copy, which remain
( sealed in a trunk ) in pristine condition. I just wanted to present
a newer copy as a gift to a tiny ballerina hopeful. The Grant Manual
is a great text, but not in this recycled brown paper-version. Read more

Review:Being a ballerina, I was familiar with this story, and was so excited about the book coming out. Half way thru and it's amazing. Definitely recommend, even if you don't know much about ballet and the grueling world it is, it's a solid read for anyone. Read more
