Review:Jar of Hearts is about three best friends, Angela, Georgina, and Kaiser- one was murdered, one is in prison, and one is searching for answers.
Angela Wong was 16 years old when she went missing, not to be found until 14 years later...
During this time no one ever suspected one of her best friends, Georgina, was involved. But Angela’s remains were found near Georginia’s childhood home, and she has been implicated in some way.
Kaiser is now a police detective, and he discovers... Read more
Review:plot was kind of predictable, still fun, but finale was a surprise. learned a bit of history about indians and corn, well written as the co-authors usually accomplish with their tales. Enjoyable read. Read more
Review:I have all the Preston-Child books, and while all have been superb, This one surpasses them all. The level of intensity was so strong that at times, I had to stop, and say to myself ""This is just a book; it's just a book" . There are two plots: the first is the arrangement of an Egyptian tomb, with all the requisite cursors and warnings. However, Diogenes takes control,, and, disguised as a curator, and changes the lights a to a level which produces insanity. Prendergast, in prison due to... Read more
Review:I like both these authors, having discovered them less than a year ago. Just finished reading this novel and it was gripping and fascinating. Even tho it was fictional, it was interesting to read that there is a part of Manhattan Island that is almost uninhabited and has been for centuries, etc. The fictional accounts of the zombiis, etc., were ALMOST on a par with stephen king and dean koontz in their early days --- not quite as good, but it kept my interest.
I would give this book, a... Read more
Review:I have been reading the Pendergast books since Relic came out. I have been pestering my parents to read these books ever since. For my father's birthday last year, I finally broke down and sent them the audiobooks to get them started. Now they are both hooked. Brimstone is probably my favorite book in the series, and my mother is reading it now. we check in every morning to see where she is in the story. I have loved these books and the characters have become friends in my quiet moments. N... Read more
Review:I liked everything, the plot, the action and the no nonsense Sam Flatt. I wish I had a textbook of what Sam does with computers, it's amazing. Can't wait for the next book. Would like to read some of Sam's military adventures too! Read more
Review:The second Vanessa Munroe novel is as absorbing as the first one.
The author knows to capture with a mixture of great insight in countries and customs and a lot of thrill and action.
I'm very looking forward to the next sequel coming 2013. Read more
Review:Vanessa "Michael" Munroe is a dark loner, gifted in language acquisition, physically and mentally tough, but also very troubled. She is hired to get information and succeeds, and the reader is both fascinated with the quest and dying to know what Michael has learned. I love the cultural and political details as Michael travels throughout the world. She is a protagonist worth reading about and following! Be prepared for some sleepless nights as you can't put the book down! Read more
Review:Great read. The characters are well drawn and are very believable. The plot was interesting. You can’t go wrong with a Robert Craig’s novel. I’ve read all of his books and have never been disappointed by any off them. Read more
Review:This is another typically page-turning book by Robert Crais. I have not read one of his books that I didn't just love and have trouble putting it down! I love the humor he interjects throughout as well. Read more
