Historical Romance
Review:Once again another awesome start to a great new series. I love that it ties into the last series as well, it feels like we're continuing on instead of starting over. These new characters have their own story to tell in a world we're somewhat familiar with. Can't wait to read the next book.
I received an ARC of this story and have voluntarily chosen to review it here. Read more
Review:Second-chance at love stories generally are not my favorite. But Jennifer Ashley did a fantastic job setting up this story in The Madness of Lord Ian MacKenzie. And I feel like it delivered on its promise. It's emotional and sexy --and I really enjoyed the rich characters Ashley has created in this series.
Isabella and Mac have never stopped loving each other, even though their marriage effectively ended three years ago. The why's of it take a while to become clear, but at a basic level... Read more

Review:Not the best romance from this series. It mixes up two worlds of historic London and some of it remains truly difficult to believe. The characters are a bit shallow and their attraction is not worked properly by the author, it remains mostly physical and repetitive. The previous Mackenzie romances are much more interesting, such as the romance of Cameron and Ainsley. Try those ! Read more
Review:This book deserves the high ratings it has received. The story of Ian and Beth is touching, funny, sad, and enthralling. The plot is original and surprising. I loved the entire Mackenzie clan, and Jennifer Ashley creates an interesting family who will draw you in to the whole series. I only wish she wrote faster!
I've now read The Many Sins of Lord Cameron and Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage and am impatiently awaiting the April 2012 release of The Duke's Perfect Wife. Read more
Review:This book starts with a wedding, not the more regular meeting, courting, falling in love story. I liked it. Of course, Elliot and Juliana do know each other, and have for many years. Juliana hasn't seen Elliot since her debut ball, when he kissed her. Convinced she will never have him for herself, she finally accepted an offer of marriage from someone else. But after a long engagement, her wedding day has arrived at last, and she is ready. When the groom doesn't show, her family starts looking f... Read more
Review:A nice addition to the Mackenzie series. Daniel has proven to be the an exciting blend of all his Mackenzie uncles. This novel leads readers through twists and turns and some exciting plot inventions, however, there are several weak points and this isn't the grand culmination of the series I hoped for. Read more
Review:I'm in love with the entire MacKenzie series, and this one was no different. I thought this was a great addition to the series. It's a wonderful holiday read that caught up on what was going on in each MacKenzies' life and their wives. Very sweet story. Read more
Review:Rating: B+ ... Heat: Warm
Lloyd Fellows is the bastard son of the deceased Mackenzie Duke, a former pain in the Mackenzie's side, and now a reluctant member of the Mackenzie clan. Though he wasn't given the best beginnings, he's made a name for himself--Lloyd has a stellar reputation as a policeman. Which is why he's not surprised his vacation is put on hold because he's been specifically requested to a crime scene. What he doesn't expect is for the suspect to be Louisa Scranton.

Review:WOW! Jennifer Ashley sure can write some steamy stories that holds my attention. I loved this one. I am not an overly huge historical fan but this Mackenzie series I believe I could read over and over again. You get it all danger, excitement, suspense, fun and adventure in each book.
To save time I am not going into the story. I do want to mention that Cameron really hit me hard. I have never come across a book where a man stood such abuse from his first wife. Heck even I want to make her... Read more
