Review:First and foremost, this is exactly what it claims to be...I have knocked it two points, because it really isn't very long, and frankly overpriced for what it is. The art is fine to good. The story is a good short story quality piece, that is a nice fun read. Did I mention it was short? Read more
Review:I started reading it because the movie was coming and the propaganda was really good, etc., but as I started I wanted to kill myself for buying the complete series... the conversations are stupid and the way they talk... specially the main character (it's a boy that thinks and speaks like a girl). I sincerely don't know if the story or the book improves upon reading it because after the first 3 or 4 chapters (I don't remember), I stopped reading it... I just couldn't overcome how tacky and chee... Read more
Review:The illustrations are cute, and the way they don't cuss is charming in a Fantastic Mr. Fox way, but as a whole it fell flat for me. I think I would have been a big fan if I read this at age 12, but it just didn't hold my attention or excitement as an adult. Read more
Review:Purchased for my husband who has read both of Butcher's series and his short stories. He read this in one night because it is set up like a commic book which I did not know when I purchased and I don't think is clear in its description. He liked it but would rather have had a regular book with more content and longer reading time. Read more
Review:All I kept on thinking while reading this graphic novel is I need to see the movie again, it's been to long. About everybody is familiar with Scott Pilgrim and the story line so I don't need to go into a major description. I really liked this graphic novel, how it's put together in a hardback book, great full color illustrations and a very entertaining dialogue. The Afterword was very informative to learn how Bryan Lee O'Malley started writing Scott Pilgrim and how it evolved. Read more
Review:Shattered Empire is a series of loosely connected tales focusing on varying characters from the Original Trilogy era and beyond (including Poe's parents). Great writing, beautiful art, and meaningful tales make this well worth picking up... for both hardcore fans and newcomers alike. I can't say much about the stories as it's quite easy to spoil the experience, but I will say that you will see Leia connect with her mother on a small scale, see Luke in action as a Jedi Knight, meet Poe Dameron's... Review:While the cover did catch my interest enough to give this a shot, watching the eponymous character repeatedly sexually assault random downtrodden women quickly drove me away. Though this felt like no great loss, as the constant stream of innuendo, which would not have seemed out of place in a high school boys locker room, and a completely uninteresting story made this a very easy book to put down. Review:this story has very good artwork, and I would recommend this book to any person who likes supernatural things. The only bad thing (it's not that bad though) is that the main characters name isn't mentioned a lot (her name is Katie, if you don't know). Read more
Review:I bought this book for myself, but plan to share with young people. It will be easy for them to read and they will learn about our country; we are not always the greatest nation in the world. We are not always exceptional. This book is written by someone who lived it. Bless him for writing it. Read more
