The Hero of Ages: Book Three of Mistborn
The Hero of Ages: Book Three of Mistborn

Review:The first couple of chapters of book one were a little bit hard to get into as the "magic of the Mistborn World" was being incorporated into the story line, but the books just got better and better and I did not see the ending to this story coming as I have in so many other books, yet it was satisfying and logical. Review:Brandon Sanderson never ceases to amaze me with his hypotheses of possibilities as to what is acceptable as a basis for "magic or mysterious happenings" with The Rithmatist he has come up with a whole new concept of enemies and ways to defeat them.
Well Done Brandon. Read more

Assassin’s Fate (Fitz and the Fool, Book 3)

Review:A great finale to Fitz and the Fool's story. Hobb is by far my favourite fantasy author, and this book delivers all the I was looking for. It will be eligible for the Hugo best series award for the 2018 Hugo's and I hope it wins. Read more

Queen of Fire: Book 3 of Raven's Shadow
Queen of Fire: Book 3 of Raven's Shadow

Review:This series was awesome!!! If you are a fan of the fantasy genre then you will not be disappointed by this series! The main character is so awesome that it was a little disappointing when books #2 and #3 switch to multiple point of views, but all the characters are great and any true fantasy reader is used to the pro's and con's of following multiple characters. The Daylight War (The Demon Cycle, Book 3)
The Daylight War (The Demon Cycle, Book 3)

Review:I love this series.

If you like fantasy books (Lord of the Rings, The Wheel of Time, the Mistborn Trilogy, etc), I would strongly recommend reading this series. It has a very interesting (and different) system of magic, is well written and edited, and has a plot that kept me engaged throughout. I hate writing spoilers, so I will leave my comment at that.

I'm excited for the final two books in the series. Read more

Book 3 of the Black Magician (Black Magician Trilogy)
Book 3 of the Black Magician (Black Magician Trilogy)

Review:What an end to a great series! Sonea has really grown up in this book, acting more like an adult than a child. Out of all of the three books, this one has the most action. I got the feeling of an emotional rolercoaster when reading this book, but in a good way. I was totally involved, devouring one page after another.

Sonea has to face her greatest fears, and she soon learns things aren't exactly what they seem. One thing this book has that the others don't- good old fahioned romance (alw... Read more

Half a War (Shattered Sea, Book 3)
Half a War (Shattered Sea, Book 3)

Review:Solid ending to the trilogy. It's not near as thrilling as the Before They Were Hanged series, but Father Yarvi is complex enough to keep you interested in his schemes and the final outcome. The nod to modern technology took some of the thrill from the ending. I would have preferred a gritty final battle with the best swordsmen on each side squaring off. Read more
