Review:The "Aftermath" trilogy comes to a conclusion with "Empire's End".
The forces of the New Republic and the last remnants of the Empire continue their struggle. Norra Wexley continues her pursuit of Grand Admiral Rae Sloane, while Sloane is on a quest of her own; to find Gallius Rax and defeat him once and for all. Her pursuit has led her to the planet of Jakku, where the Republic and Empire will have their final showdown. A mysterious observatory is in place on Jakku which threatens to ... Read more
Review:I'm looking back on this book as I remember it when I was fourteen and the movie had just come out. It was cool because it had scenes in that didn't make it into the film, although they were filmed. The book was superior in some ways because it was written before the script was finalized. The other books, I believe were written from the script. I loved this book back then and still do love it. It's fun, full of interesting characters, and full of action. All you need is the soundtrack to settle ... Read more
Review:STAR WARS: PHASMA is a book which I think really shows what the biggest problem with current Star Wars tie-in fiction is, which is the fact nothing is allowed to happen. This is the life story of Captain Phasma, the cowardly but dangerous leader of the First Order's Stormtroopers who brought down the shields of Starkiller Base when someone pointed a gun at her.
The entirety of the book is meant to reconcile the fact she's meant to be terrifying but rolled on her fellow Imperials at the first ... Read more
Review:This is a great book. A new enemy has entered the universe and they show just how tough and determined they are. They are here to take over, believing that the Republic is theirs as told to them by their gods, and they will do anything to anyone that they consider inferior to themselves. There is a major character death in here, but it is necessary to show just how dire the threat of this new enemy, the Yuuzhan Vong, is and to let readers know that this is one fight that the Republic may or may ... Review:The title of "Battlefront" on the cover is false advertisement; this is easily the most boring novel of all the new Star Wars books. It's not a poorly written book by any means, but it's certainly not what you would expect as a followup to the action packed Battlefront: Twilight Company. This book is supposed to introduce us to the Empire's most elite special forces unit, and yet in 300+ pages they (minor spoilers ahead) barely manage to take out a tiny Rebel cell of around 10 people (end of min... Review:Very famous and justifiably so. Very distressing to read and reminds me of the turmoil and tragedy of Vietnam and how mistakenly our leaders misjudged the entire Vietnam issues. So sorry for the US military who were injured, killed and scarred for life and for the country citizens of Vietnam.
Should be a must read for all in the service academy and anyone involved in our foreign policy or defense policy . Read more
Review:Annihilation - This was actually a really enjoyable read considering it was not full Force based on a Jedi or a Sith. I enjoyed finding out in more depth that there were special forces and not just Jedi's working to defeat the Empire and the Sith. I would recommend this book to all those who love Han Solo. Not the lone wolf exactly, but the lone wolf with a Republic to save! Read more
Review:My husband Greg got me hooked on science fiction years ago, but I like a good love story too. This has it all! Saxon has a great imagination, from the powers the main characters have, to the spectacular space battles. I'm hooked. Greg has moved all the Annihilation series to my Kindle so I can read them one after another. What an enjoyable, entertaining read. Read more
Review:While the writing is mediocre and the story is cliche, Iron Dragoons is a fun read. If you are looking for something fun, and don't mind some flaws, this book will give you a fun few hours of reading. Read more
