This was an enjoyable story. I liked Sophie and Jake and the secondary characters are pretty interesting as well. This is the first book I've read by this author but based on this I'm planning to read more of her work.

Review:I kind of enjoyed reading this book but it gets so silly and over the top by the middle half of the book. Like another reviewer said it feels like the last half of the book is written by a different person. Anyway, if you liked the Forrest in the movie a lot you might not enjoy the book. Review:Well dang it, I wanted to dislike this book, I really did. There are more than enough badly written stories blurring the lines of my dearly beloved fantasy and science fiction with the horrible romance section to make me want to throw up. This book looked like another one of those silly throw away cheesecake reads with a little magic thrown in to keep the bodice ripper readers happy. Right? Review:The story about the trial was good. Unfortunately, the author included a lot of religious content. It started out as a little bit that went with the story but by the end, it was as much as the actual story. I found it off-putting and found myself skipping those pages.
