Review:I adore this series of book and yes you absolutely can read them as standalone but why not enjoy them all believe after reading one you'll want them all! Flynn and Chasity aka Chad or duchess are my favorite so far! Chad is a wonder woman making poem for woman and couples and oh Flynn that dirty talking aussie! Read more
Review:This is a fun read. It is a bit contrived around the idea of chance encounter leading to other things, but she is such a skilled writer that you are able to go along with it and look for the next step of the progression. The characters are wonderful. Read more
Review:This is currently one of my favorite subgenres. I like the palpable sense of dread the author creates from the very beginning. Is something off with the narrator? We don't know. I am never sure how long books are anymore with the kindle, but this one must be fairly short at only 3 hour or so read. Dreadful and tricky. I liked it!! Read more
Review:One reviewer called The Bear and the Nightingale an adult fairytale. It is, and for all of us who've never outgrown our love for the old tales, this is a beautiful addition. It's an absorbing retelling of a Russian folk tale but with flesh and bones and a hunger for more. I look forward to Katherine Arden's continuing story in her next book. Read more
Review:I enjoyed this first volume of this trilogy, but I loved the second volume, The author continues the tale using Russian folk lore as a background. Vasilisa is an interesting and independent young woman. That independent streak is a strength, but it also leads her into difficult situations. In this story she meets up with her beloved older sister in Moscow after she comes to the attention of the Prince of that city. She is in a society far different from the rural existence she has known. The deci... Read more
Review:After reading the first book in the Sapphire Falls series by Erin Nicholas, I was in love--with Sapphire Falls and with the characters that live there. Mason is my newest book boyfriend, and Adrienne is my hero(ine) for taking charge of her life and making dramatic changes in her life, not just once, but twice. My only criticism is not the writing but the format/editing. Change of scene and point of view are at times abrupt with no hint of the change, causing me more than once to have to do a ... Read more
Review:Publishers are pulling a bait and switch once again, new cover, new title, new date of release.
"Swept Away" was originally released in May 2005 under the name of "Runaway Mistress", which I loved by the way, but I hate it when publishers try to rip off the unsuspecting consumers. Ms. Carr, how do you feel about your publisher’s tactics? Stunts like this really, really suck!!!! Read more
Review:Love Robin Carr and the stories she writes. I felt like I was in Thunder Point with the rest of the characters. She made me want to move there to experience the close knit community myself. Great story! Read more
Review:An enticing romance that grabs you quickly. It is a rocky road along the way. There's slot going on in Virgin River, as always, and you won't be bored. A very good read and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Read more
Review:Rating: 3.5 stars __Contains PG-13 sexual content
Note: Continued story. Read all three books in the Grace Valley trilogy as one book.
WARNING: This soap opera style format is confusing if you are not reading the series in order.
GOOD READ. Entertaining, sometimes touching, storyline about the pleasures and problems of small town life, diverse and colorful characters, funny situations, strong extended family theme, menacing bad guy(s), and a sweet, low-key romance that runs thr... Read more
