Review:I ripped through this book, which moved with the speed and drama of a movie script. Great writing and the characters are all real and somewhat familiar. What I leaned and should have expected, is that when it comes to the founding of any company, it’s often not only complicated but messy too.To think that all of this emanated from just a hundred and forty characters. Who knew? Read more

Review:Access code does not provide access to MyProgrammingLab. Only the etext. Also the Pearson portal for MPL is fickle, and does not allow login with correct username/password input. I most likely will have to pay $93 for the MPL access code through Pearson. Should have just bought this new at the bookstore. Read more
Review:I have been using the various editions of this book to teach Java programming for a number of years. In terms of content the previous editions of this book have been very solid and I would them a 5 star rating. Although this 10th edition continues the tradition of solid content, I cannot rate it above 4 stars because eight chapters (that used to be part of the printed book in the previous edition) are now only accessible online. This is both inconvenient and expensive.

Review:Steven Levy’s work Hackers, heroes of the Computer Revolution, has stood the test of time quite well. In his opus, he gives an in depth and detailed overview of the people and technology that would eventually create our modern wired and interconnected world. I was alive during most the quarter century that the book covers and was able to see and know many of these developments first hand.

Review:I appreciate all Dummies Books. Like those I have used before Nexus 7 for Dummies is most helpful. Nexus 7 for Dummies has been most helpful in my learning process. I have recommended this book to several others who have struggled to understand their new tablet. Read more
Review:Found this book to be excellent source of gaining some basic understanding and as a quick reference once my understanding of SQL advanced. The author produces some of the best material I've read (I wish he did more books on other languages I was needing something for). He is presents the material in a manner to be not too in-depth that it goes over your head, yet still remains to give a thorough enough explanation. The examples are simple, relevant, and error free. The most useful feature I ... Read more
Review:Insightful. Readable. Easy to remember structure. Easy to teach others the change structure they offer. I've had health care operations senior managers reference it during change initiatives to make sure they covered all six sources. I'd recommend everyone drop the complicated and complex change management structures they use and adopt this. Read more
Review:Very good resource for anyone getting into adwords. Required reading for anyone who manages large or multiple campaigns.
I've always considered myself to be pretty good at managing ppc accounts, but I discovered I was making some mistakes with a few of my negative keyword match types. I made the changes, and within one week saw an increase of around 10% in impressions (and significantly more clicks) for a targeted keyword. It's little nuggets like this, scattered throughout the book, tha... Read more
