Review:A well written book with facts and opinions explained in context of situation. This book made me re-think of a lot of ideas I earlier has about Gandhi. Though, I do not agree with many of his experiments, he does make one believe that his motive after every one of them was finding the truth of things. The universality of compassion towards all beings is infectious. Read more

Review:As science is starting to show there is validation to what other cultures (non-Western) have used for hundreds or even thousands of years, I wanted to get my hands on a good book that covered the variety of "energies."
This is that book! It combines the cultural/spiritual beliefs along with some of the science which explains how it works. This is an intensive read, very informing without being "dumbed down" or overly technical. There's a lot of illustrations, which I find to be very helpf... Read more
Review:If you've been wondering about your purpose or calling in life, get this book! Stephen Cope walks us through the ancient Hindu spiritual text, the Bhagavad Gita, and puts it into easy-to-understand terms. I love that he uses examples of famous people's searches for their own purpose to illustrate each point. These range from Jane Goodall to Robert Frost to Susan B Anthony. It's a terrific summary of a text that's otherwise (for me) hard to read.
