The World's Best-Selling Bicycle Repair and Maintenance Guide

Review:This is an excellent reference, full of illustration and very updated. However, I tried to replace the Look pedals in my bike and I couldn't get the proper instructions in the book. There are only two pages on the topic. I did whatever I could to remove the pedals and was impossible (Look pedals does not accept the 15mm pedal wrench shown in the book) so I ended up going to the bike shop and fortunately they remove the pedals and installed the new ones for free.

Then, I bough a set of Sh... Read more

The Untold Story of Maui's Sugar Ditch Kids and Their Quest for Olympic Glory
The Untold Story of Maui's Sugar Ditch Kids and Their Quest for Olympic Glory

Review:Interesting parts, especially to a Hawaiian resident. Insights into the life of the plantation families. Liked the reaction to the youngsters as they were on the cruise ship and also how they were received on the mainland. Story of courage and determination. WAY TOO MUCH DETAIL that did not add to the story. Needed better editing. Read more

The Turbulent True Story of a First Year at Harvard Law School

Review:Unlike my law school classmates, I did not read this prior to law school. I'm glad I did not. I was already terrorized by the rumors. Had I read this, I might very well have "tucked tail and ran." It is very accurate. Nevertheless, I encourage future law students to read so that they'll have no illusions. Along these lines, just know that the first year comes to an end -- it too shall pass. Few achievements in my life make me feel as confident as having made it through the 1st year of law schoo... A Thru-Hiking Adventure on the Pacific Crest Trail
A Thru-Hiking Adventure on the Pacific Crest Trail

Review:One of the better trail writers. I look forward to more from him. I enjoyed his story and style of writing. Unlike another Brit who wrote about his hike, I appreciated that he found a lot of things to be positive about concerning the USA. It was refreshing. I'm going to check out his website to learn more about what he is up to now. Read more

For at least half a century the conventional wisdom about maintaining good physical health has rested on the twin pillars of diet and exercise. While those are no doubt vital, there’s an equally important, but completely ignored, third pillar – environmental training.

If you're interested in health, read this book. Read more
