Re-create 12 Iconic Artworks One Sticker at a Time!
Re-create 12 Iconic Artworks One Sticker at a Time!

Review:I originally bought a sticker book from this company from the store and wanted to try other pictures. The quality in this version is completely lacking. The stickers were incorrectly sized for the spaces, the edges weren't straight, and the stickers were barely sticky. I am really disappointed with this purchase. Read more

Seize the Day (Penguin Classics)
Seize the Day (Penguin Classics)

Review:I have struggled with procrastination and self-defeating behaviors. Joyce's words have given me the strength, courage, confidence, restoration of my identity as a daughter of Christ...to go out and take hold of the amazing Life God has planned for me...and seize this day. This book is sure to be a blessing to all who purchase this. Read more

The Girl on the Train - A Novel by Paula Hawkins
The Girl on the Train - A Novel by Paula Hawkins

Review:I accidentally purchased this. I really didn't want to read ABOUT the book, "The Girl on the Train", I wanted to read the book itself. I was lured in by the low price, not paying attention to the details. Very disappointing. Read more

Women in Love (Modern Library 100 Best Novels)
Women in Love (Modern Library 100 Best Novels)

Review:Women In Love is one of the most beautifully written books I have ever read. The author's mastery of the English language is evident on every page.
Women in Love is also one of the most pointless books I have ever read. Sure, there are some very interesting conversations along the way -- but (and a big BUT) everything else smacks of being false and contrived.
Considering its girth, there is very little action in this novel. When there is action it repeatedly springs out of left field. A... Read more

Clock Dance: A novel
Clock Dance: A novel

Review:If you're looking for great adventure or romance, you'll want to look elsewhere. This book, like many of Ms. Tyler's, is told from a complex, perhaps disappointed, middle-aged woman's point of view. Her small adventure takes her across the country and into the lives of child, her mother and their close-knit working class community. Read more

Figure Drawing for All It's Worth
Figure Drawing for All It's Worth

Review:So I purchased this book after reading Mythology: The DC Comics Arts of Alex Ross in which i discovered that Alex Ross studied Andrew Loomis' book in order to improve both his shading and anatomy. The book arrived on time. I've never purchased an art book before but I was surprised to find out just how easy it was to follow. From learning about shading and how it applies to the human figure to creating form and learning how to apply it on a live model this book was truly a guide into anatomy dra... Read more

Drawing for the Absolute and Utter Beginner
Drawing for the Absolute and Utter Beginner

Review:Approach this book like a college class in drawing, and you will probably learn a lot from it. I bought this book to go through with my 11 year old daughter, and neither of us could stick with it. I wanted to, but it just wasn't engaging. If you buy this, I would suggest setting goals for yourself, like completing one chapter every 3 days. I wanted to learn to draw, but I didn't feel compelled to continue after the first couple of chapters.

If you have a burning desire to draw, or feel li... Read more

The Idiot (Penguin Classics)
The Idiot (Penguin Classics)

Review:This edition of 'The Idiot' is really nice, very well designed and bound and for that it should get more than the three stars I gave it, but I have to admit that I'm really not liking the story. Since I'm over halfway through it I'm going to ride it out, but uggg I can't wait to finish it so I can move on to something else. Read more

The Art of Worldly Wisdom: A Pocket Oracle
The Art of Worldly Wisdom: A Pocket Oracle

Review:This book changed my life. There is one life before understanding Gracian and another life thereafter. I gave it away to more than 30 friends throughout more than 10 years. I made its reading mandatory to each one of my 4 children. My friends and I use to refer to its aforism as religious men refer to Bible salms. Last week I responded a request for advise from a friend: "Apply Gracian # 138". Regards. Read more
