Memories of the 1971 Bangladesh War - Dead Reckoning
Memories of the 1971 Bangladesh War - Dead Reckoning

Review:The book covers the events of 1971 beginning from the general elections of 1970 until the end of war in December 1971. The Awami League led by Sheikh Mujib won the elections with majority representation at the parliament, but however was unable to become the Prime Minister as Bhutto denied to accept any negotiation mediated by Yahya Khan, despite losing the elections. This led the Bengalis towards an uncertain future for them.
The book is exceptionally significant as it brought about evidence... Read more

The Role of the Firearm in Personal Protection - In the Gravest Extreme

Review:While this was written quite a while ago, many of the topics and points are still valid today.

For anyone that may be carrying a concealed weapon to defend themselves, this should be required reading. Read more

CCENT/CCNA ICND1 100-105 Official Cert Guide

Review:The book arrived damaged and dirty. Someone at the warehouse must have dropped it, and it must have gotten hit at least twice when it fell; furthermore, the box cover was intact. The CD inside is sealed and intact, and the pages have clean surfaces; that's a relief. But, I am not happy paying for a new book that gets to me looking dirty and damaged; it's not what I paid for. and Global Issues (8th Edition) - Online Commerce

Review:The book was intact, but was separated from the spine which is annoying as your flipping through pages and having to be careful not to have it all come apart...lt was represented as in "very good" condition and I would qualify the content as such, but the book itself was in poor condition. International Business
International Business

Review:The international edition of the 7th edition of International Business is a steal! It's the same as the hardcover US edition textbook word for word, but it's about $80 cheaper. As far as the textbook itself, it is very informative and easy to read. Read more

America in the Middle East - Power - and Fantasy
America in the Middle East - Power - and Fantasy

Review:Exaustively researched, & excellently written! This book should be mandatory reading. It clearly lays out the real basis of America's Middle East policy; unswerving support for the state of Isreal; &, insistance in "Isreal's right to exist", i.e.: a Crusade to bring about the "second coming of Christ"! and the Beginning of Everything - the Meaning of Nothing
and the Beginning of Everything - the Meaning of Nothing

Review:Amanda presents physics from an autobiographical point of view that is not only entertaining, but also explores the deep underbelly of physics from an often philosophical point of view. Only one equation (actually and identity) but very clear portraits of modern physics and physicists! Read more

2nd Edition (MIT Electrical Engineering and Computer Science)
2nd Edition (MIT Electrical Engineering and Computer Science)

Review:I fall between the polarized views of the reviewers of this textbook. This is a well-written introduction to Lisp programming and Scheme, and introduces many important concepts in Computer Science. The problem with it is that it is not a suitable book for a beginner -- I don't consider it a gentle introduction to computer science -- and for someone experienced enough to be comfortable with its ideas, it doesn't introduce many interesting ideas until Chapter 3. Unlike other people I guess,... Read more
