Review:This is a gorgeous edition of compiled Jane Austen novels. I was hoping the picture wasn't misleading, but if anything, the book I received was even more beautiful than the picture illustrated. This will be displayed prominently in my growing home library. Thank you so much. Read more

Review:This simplistic "adventure in space" seems to have a target demographic of 12 year old kids. Tuf, who accidentally loves cute cats, finds a space ship. Tuf takes this huge space ship to various planetary systems, who all have various ecologically related problems they can't fix themselves. Tuf uses the ship's cloning devices to engineer some kind of biological solution to the planet's problem. Repeat a couple of times, and that's it.

Review:Do not waste your money on these books. They are prosaic, cliched and just plain terribly written. The world does not need yet another vampire saga, especially one with as few original characters or ideas as this series. If you are looking for some really original characters with sizzling sex to boot, the Anita Blake series is much, much better. SO sorry I made this purchase. Read more
Review:He does an interesting job of portraying that era but he is so wordy. I could say in a few words what it takes him a whole

In Foundation, humanoid robots, introduced in Robots of Dawn, function in society as equals of humans. Without doubt, Asimov is the father of modern sci-fi and the philosophy of robotics in the real world. Read more

These stories are for those who don't shy away from a good gothic thriller, Dostoevsky, Bram Stoker, Poe or other writers who had lived in a different era from our own. If you need to read 'modern writing', Lovecraft is not for you.

Review:Louisa May Alcott is best known for her classic coming-of-age novel "Little Women." But she tackles an entirely different part of growing up in "An Old Fashioned Girl," the story of a country mouse living with a wealthy urban family in late 19th-century America.
Polly Milton travels to stay with her aunt and uncle in the city, for the first time, but she immediately sticks out because of her outdated clothing and lack of fussiness. Her cousin Fan Shaw (also about fourteen) is already dressed ... Read more
