Review:A great Russian classic but in the traditional Russian genre. Very descriptive writing of people and places with the "normal" tragic Russian ending. Turgenev easily captures the soul of Russian writers of the 18th century. Read more

Review:I was slightly disappointed overall. I was really excited about this book after reading a few poems by Faudet on tumblr, but as it turned out, those few lovely gems I had found before actually buying the book were the only bits worth reading. I found myself flipping through page after page, wishing I'd read more material along the lines of Stars:
Magic tumbled from her pretty lips, and when she spoke the language of the universe, the stars sighed in unison.
What beautiful, sweeping... Read more
Review:I left a bookstore without it and literally bought as soon as I got home. I'm not much of a literary person, but these poems are clever and speak to me on a personal level. I particularly enjoy when she personifies characteristics or words. Read more
Review:Totalitarianism. It’s not a concept that we are very familiar with; those of us who have been born free. The sludge of fear, every decision weighed not against what is good and just and right, but instead against what the ‘powers’ will think; the battle to deny self but not lose your spirit in the process – tiny acts of rebellion unidentifiable to the minders but nevertheless something that is your own, a fake accent or a carefully planned ‘accident’; not sabotage but just orchestrated carelessn... Review:I resisted reading this piece of trash when it was first released in a blaze of controversy some 50 years ago but in a moment of weakness, out of sheer curiosity, I recently purchased it for my Kindle because it was dirt cheap.
Now, half a century later, 'Dirt' and 'cheap' are still two very appropriate words to apply to this book. If you like reading about a guy whose sexual deviations know no bounds then this is the book for you. It has nothing else going for it. Read more

Keri Arthur wraps up the Dark Angels series with DARKNESS FALLS and wow, she ends it with a serious bang! The first fifty pages of this book contains more action than some books have at all so there’s no question that Arthur has turned up the dial full blast with this latest release.
Risa is running against the clock. She must find the keys, but with so many obstacles standing in the way, it seems nearly impossible to get t... Read more
Review:All of Keri Arthur books are excellent and a must read. I would start with the first book if you are starting this series about Riley. This book is intense in action and the romance between her and her reaper is nail bitting and keeps you reading faster. I loved this book and cant wait for the next one this summer. Read more
Review:A generally satisfying crime story, with two narrative strands. The first one centres on a group of five women setting out on a teamwork three day experience in dense bushland, also the site of serial murders some time in the past. Five set out, but only four return. The second strand follows the search for the missing woman and two federal police are involved because they are investigating possible money laundering in the company the women work for.
The truth is revealed in flashbacks about ... Read more
