This book is well-written, but lacks in creative finesse. Faudet's girlfriend and "soulmate", Lang Leav, is overall a much better writer. I purchased her book with Michael's, under the impression that the small quotes I have seen of Michael's writings online were an example of the type of thing he writes at all times. In reality, those are the best offerings he has to give. The raw sexuality of the book does redeem it in some ways. I could see this being the kind of poetry and prose one would read to a girlfriend just before sex. However, the quality of his other writings do leave some to be desired. Therefore, I can only leave Michael with 3/5 stars

Wow! This book blew my mind. I finished reading it in a few hours. I told my friends all about it and they were blown away by some excerpts I shared with them. I can't wait to see what Faudet has in store for us next!

The internet is a sensationalist.
This book seems to me to be like a well-hyped kickstarter, that just never seems to never materialize.
The poetry is, let’s face it, second rate at best – raw and simple and in a very simple vernacular, but it is not like Bukowski, or any of the other poets who sought to strip poetry of its pretense. These verses are full of stretched images and tired cliché.
But, maybe that is the point, and maybe these verses are just not for me, and maybe not for my generation. They are written for the meme lovers and fast digesters of mass ideas.
So, while Faudet/Leav do not write the best poetry - as a social experiment, a fabricated mystery, and a totally contemporary multi-media art piece, they do pretty well.
In a sense, Leav has made herself into her own working.

And they call this garbage poetry? I don't normally write reviews, in fact this is a first, but then I needed to write something about the most sorry excuse for literary work that I've ever laid my eyes on. It looks like they just kept on writing to fill the pages. Crass, uninspired and pointless. I don't mind reading poems about sex if they are elegantly written. They could've at least gotten more creative with the underwear. I'm sick of reading wet white cotton panties! If the whole point of this book is to trigger a passionate response, they've succeeded. They had me gagging by page 20 and I'm not a prude. To say that it's 16$ not well-spent is an understatement. The only thing good about this book is the cover. My fault for judging the book by it's cover and a few samples I read online. I would have liked to give negative stars but one it is.

I normally don't write reviews, but in this case, I feel obligated. This is some of the worst poetry I ever read. It wouldn't even make it past rough draft stages in a university-classroom setting. It's crass and vulgar, and not because it talks about sex but because of the cheap, blunt way that it talks about sex (which IS what this collection mostly talks about). One of the only books I have ever bought, read, and then promptly returned. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Love the title and the poetry it a little different than most poems I read but I have to saw that I was impressed by the pure expression of the words that author was able to come out with. I would give this book a 4/5. I normally don't read that many books by male authors. I received an ebook from Netgallery for my my honest opinion on the book.

some good writing but not enough. more avg content and more bad. very quick read. took me maybe 30 minutes. left side pages were blank unless the piece was longer than a page. lot of 1-2 liners which were the only words on the page. poor trees. content is something like 96.7% love and sex, which is fine, just making that clear. don't expect much else.

Michael Faudet is nothing less that an exquisite author, his poetry makes your soul feel good honestly. I recommend this book to anybody that's a hopeless romantic like myself, it really puts you in that happy and lovey mood. Every page in this book is a better one and rarely do I come across such heart warming poetry like this. Please buy you will not regret it.

Magic tumbled from her pretty lips, and when she spoke the language of the universe, the stars sighed in unison.
What beautiful, sweeping, romantic imagery! Too bad the majority of his work lacks that same oomph; if I read "wet cotton panties" one more time I'm gonna scream. I will say that I love his use of wordplay in many of his poems, and I did like all of his prose! If he wrote a book of prose, I could probably read it all day. Apart from that, it kind of felt like sifting through a bunch of junk to find hidden treasures within.
