House Rules (Chicagoland Vampires Book 7)

Review:The tale of Merit; her love, her house, her honor, gets better with each telling. A great combination of mystery, emotional conflict, humor and imagination make Chloe Neill's series a must read. I can hardly wait for the next tale to begin. Read more

Wild Things: A Chicagoland Vampires Novel
Wild Things: A Chicagoland Vampires Novel

Review:Merit and Ethan are forever caught up in political and magical evil. Merit had to find the person responsible for kidnapping supernaturals and deal with the fall out with the mayor. The mayor is out to persecute Ethan to make an example of him for all others. I love how the characters are continued through the series and the author keeps the storyline fresh with each new book. You can't help getting drawn in to the love between Merit and Ethan. This was a fantastic read and great addition to... Read more

Drink Deep (Chicagoland Vampires)
Drink Deep (Chicagoland Vampires)

Review:It's better than the last book. However, I was a little disappointed towards the end when Merit and "E" were together finally. I thought the love scene would have been more dramatic based on the last book left such a negative impact when Ethan died, and how Merit was grieving and couldn't get on with her life. It was like here they found each other, kiss and make up and let's move on to the next adventure. Overall, I like Merit's story. The author made sure Merit's character is consistent. ... Read more

Shadow's Bane (Dorina Basarab)
Shadow's Bane (Dorina Basarab)

Review:Outstanding book and completely satisfying read. Karen Chance writes terrific action packed stories filled with characters and humor that I enjoy reading over and over again. I’ve already re-read this book multiple times and it’s only been out three days! For those of us who have been fans of the series for a while, there is a very satisfying development or progression in Dory’s life shown in this book that promises good things ahead and makes me anxious for the next book. Claimed by Shadow (Cassandra Palmer)
Claimed by Shadow (Cassandra Palmer)

Review:This book is like a bad casserole. Everything you ever heard about in the paranormal genre is here messing around and making a conglomeration
that is not only hard to swallow, but annoys the mental digestion. So we got a friendly ghost over here, an unfriendly golem over there, we gotcha' basic dark fae and light fae, we got houses that fly like in the Wizard of Oz and of course, vampires and too many war mages too count. But what we don't have is a plausible story line that one can follow... Read more

Ride the Storm (Cassie Palmer)
Ride the Storm (Cassie Palmer)

Review:The latest in the Cassie Palmer series does not disappoint! As usual, Karen Chance's book was full of action, and when I read through it I was on the edge of my seat, and also wishing Cassie just had a day to rest and eat some soup. I finished it in two days, reading in my spare moments, because I couldn't put it down!

Cassie and Rosier's hilarious banter made me laugh out loud multiple times, and I loved their road trips through time. Also continuing to watch her relationship with Pritki... Read more
