Temptation in Shadows: A Novella
Temptation in Shadows: A Novella

Review:While this has previously been published as part of Gena's The Bodyguard anthology, it's being released by itself and is a very quick … tempting (hah) read. Sean Walker is a nightclub bodyguard who is also a controller of shadows and can harness the darkness. All it takes, though, is one woman (doesn't it always?) and Sean will never be the same. I can't say much about this novella's plot without giving it away, but I loved Gabby. She can interface with computers and has abilities out of this wo... Read more

Wicked Nights (Angels of the Dark Book 1)
Wicked Nights (Angels of the Dark Book 1)

Review:Um... did Gena Showalter forget how to write a good love scene? I don't need to read hot sex to enjoy a romance novel, but never before have I read a book from her (and I've read just about all of them) that was this blah. The whole "he kissed and touched her everywhere and she did the same to him" works if the sex scenes don't take up a huge portion of the book. She's usually a good go to person for good writing in that regard.
I LOVED Zacharel from previous books, I was hoping for so much m... Read more

Death Beckons (Mortis Vampire Series Book 1)
Death Beckons (Mortis Vampire Series Book 1)

Review:I loved this book. What a fantastic Australian sense of humour coming through loud and clear. Very well written. Read it in less than one day. Couldn't leave it alone until it was finished. Has everything: humour, tension, horror, fast paced. I love vampire books such as the Twilight Series and Vampire Academy Series. This series is shaping up to be on a par with these, if not surpassing them. Looking forward to the second book in this series with bated breath. Can't wait. Please releas... Read more

House of Darken (Secret Keepers Series Book 1)
House of Darken (Secret Keepers Series Book 1)

Review:I really liked the world she created. It was unique and fun to visualize. I liked most of the characters. But.....Emma annoyed me. What she went through was unbelievably horrific, but I needed her to get it together and stop crying and falling apart so much. Sometimes is expected, but this was too much. Emma and Lexen — while I bought into their attraction I just didn’t feel the love. We had secondary characters that we were starting to get to know and really like then they were just gone until ... Covert Fae (A Spy Among the Fallen Book 1)
Covert Fae (A Spy Among the Fallen Book 1)

Review:This book seems to take place in the same universe as the Shadow’s and Flames Series (which is one of my favorite). I love how seamless everyone of C.N. Crawfords books are since there are two authors. C.N. is a husband and wife duo that blows me away with every book. Ruby is a full on badass that isn’t afraid to kick ass when needed. While she has some issues, the world basically ended, who can blame her, she still has the ability to overcome them. I love all of the supporting characters an... Read more

Magical Mayhem Trilogy Book 2) - Natural Mage (DDVN World
Magical Mayhem Trilogy Book 2) - Natural Mage (DDVN World

Review:Wow! Just wow! Magic, mayhem, and gut-bustingly hilarious hijinks abound in this 2nd book in the Magical Mayhem series. K. F. Breene has hit another home run with this one! She pulls you into the storyline right from the first chapter, and never lets go. I couldn't put it down. Join Penny, Emery, Callie and Dizzy, and Reagan in this fast-paced, action-filled, continuation of Penny's journey to grow into her magical potential.

I received an ARC of the book, and I'm voluntarily stating my h... Read more

Fantasy Paranormal Romance (The Annika Brisby Series Book 2)
Fantasy Paranormal Romance (The Annika Brisby Series Book 2)

Review:This book picked right up where book one left off. The author writes about realistic characters that make mistakes. It was these mistakes that frustrated me to no end. Annika seemed to be overly jealous and Talvi was an over the top flirt. In the end, they learn that marriage takes work to thrive. I laughed alot at Talvi and Annika's friends and enjoyed reading this book despite my frustrations. Be forewarned that it has a cliffhanger ending that will leave you wanting to read the next boo... Unchained (Nephilim Rising Book 1)

Review:Action packed, original, exciting, fast-paced, spicy, well-written, and absolutely amazing. Those are the words I would use to describe this one. I was sucked into this one quickly and I didn't want to put it down. I loved the take on Nephilim and how they live among humans. If you are a fan of JLA and her YA books, and you are OK with a more mature romance and take on the action, then you will love this one. I know I did! Read more

Book Three of the Looking Glass Trilogy (Arcane Society Series 12)

Review:Once again, the first couple of chapters were hard to get into and made for a slow beginning, but the subsequent chapters got better and the book became a much more interesting read. This was much the same as Midnight Crystal. Thank you for asking for my review. Read more
