Review:Started out like the Aunt Dimity series with a dead woman who appears to a relative....then turned dumb. She gets interviewed by the FBI, sits around watching tv and can't seem to materalize outside of her cabin even though other people are getting killed and her niece is in trouble. Other reviewers said the ending was a surprise....not....you know from the get go if you read enough of these books. No more of this series for me....donation bound. Read more
Review:4 Stars... The second book in the "Krewe Hunters" series focuses on Jake Mallory who, along with his team, is called in to investigate a missing persons case causing him to be reunited with his soulmate, Ashley Donegal... The case quickly turns to a murder investigation, seeped in Civil War history, and ghostly presences begin to entwine themselves within this haunting mystery... Heather Graham provides a strong historical foundation within which she creates a twisting, turning "who done it" cas... Read more
Review:I have purchased, read and enjoyed Heather Graham's books for years. However, I have cancelled my pre-orders for her upcoming books. This book was sooo disappointing. I love history but this was too little plot and way too much history. Her books have become boring. I have purchased two other books of hers that I will probably not bother reading they have become a chore rather than an enjoyment. Read more
Review:This is my first Heather Graham novel and though the dialogue didn't quite seem to me that it matched with how people in the south speak, it was still very interesting and a decent mystery. I think I will try more by her! Read more
Review:Another fabulous book of the Krewe of Hunters. I can never wait till the next one comes out and have to stop any other book that I am reading at the time to read this new book. It is always exceptionally good and always has tid bits of history of the area. Heather Graham is an exceptionally good author and have yet to come across a bad book. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND STORIES!! Read more
Review:DEADLY FATE is #19 in author Heather Graham's Krewe of Hunters series and I think she needs a break.
I have read other books in this series and liked them a lot and I was especially looking forward to this one because I love Alaska.
But I can hardly find anything good to say about this story. The dialogue was stilted, the characters wooden, the romance and sex scenes were boring. I never did feel a connection between the H/h.
I did like most of the passages about Black Bear ... Read more
Review:5 Stars... I found this read fascinating from the very start... The present day psychological thriller connected to one of the most notorious serial killers ever known, Jack the Ripper, created an historically rich mystery with a supernatural twist... The Krewe of Hunters are becoming an intricately woven group and a well oiled machine each finding their role on the team... Whitney was a strong, sassy, heartfelt lead coupled with Jude, a no nonsense, dedicated, "by the book" NYPD detective... I ... Read more
Review:This book had great potential on the basis of the story, however, the execution was flawed. Heather Graham should fire her editor for the amount of grammatical errors in this book. My biggest issue was the lack of breaking between paragraphs, when changing from one character or scene to another. It was difficult to keep track of where a character was or who was speaking/thinking. Although it was a cheap read, I still wish I could get back what little money was spent. Read more
Review:Someone in South Florida is creating "zombies"... This sounds like the making of a fascinating story, and I was hoping it was. However, I just could not get past the dislike for the characters. Heather Graham went into maximum overdrive with her perfect beautiful main characters in this one. The perfect beautiful character in this novel is Laura from the previous novel The Silenced (which I felt was much better). She has landed the perfect job in South Florida working PR for a dolphin rescue. No... Read more
Review:This tale of necromancer Felix Castor gives listeners a different type of mystery. Fix, as he is known to his friends, is an exorcist. In this first of a currently short series of two novels, Fix is engaged in exorcising a ghost from the Bonnington, a local archive establishment. A seemingly routine matter, Fix begins his queries in order to establish where, exactly, the ghost is and is surprised to find that the ghost is violent, an unusual characteristic for the "undead." The job begins to unr... Read more
