Review:Nothing like the first book in all the bad ways. No real horror aspect and kinda ruined my fascination with FNaF. There were to many parts where I stopped and had to think to myself, are "are they trying to be funny". The characters showed little to no real development and just felt to rigid and dry. And the ending, in trying to finally create a horror atmosphere to me greatly failed. Read more
Review:Good first novel. Feels to me like a mix between Lexicon and A Thousand Kingdoms. I'm not sure if it has earned a spot on my bookshelf but I enjoyed reading it - a fast paced book with twists and turns but only so so character development and no characters that you would want to hang out with. Review:This is a slim volume (the version I have is 246 pages) so I was able to read it in a couple days. A time period is not referenced in this book so it took a while for me to finally get some idea of when this occurred. Eleanor, the main character, co-owns a car so I assumed this was set in more "modern" times (1950s or later). It wasn't until after Eleanor arrived at the home and was talking with someone (I believe Dr. Montague) that I was able to figure out that the time period was the early ... Read more
Review:Sookie continues to deal with vampires and their hunters, with weres and her troublesome brother, with deadly supernatural politics that mere humans shouldn't easily survive. But the one thing Sookie is, is a survivor. After the big explosion in the last book that took out many an immortal and powerful vamp, Sookie is back at home in Bon Temps, LA, working at Merlotte's Bar for her friend and boss, Sam, and worrying about nothing more than the double wedding of her friend Halleigh and Portia B... Review:The Sookie Stackhouse series does it again. In the sixth book in the series I notice a theme starting that I just try to push through. I know it's necessary to the story and other readers who may not have started the series from the beginning but for me going over everything again and again is just getting tedious. It still hasn't stopped me from picking up book 7 and probably more after that.
Sookie starts dating Quinn the Were tiger from the previous novel. She goes to New Orleans to cl... Read more
Review:The seventh book in the Southern Vampire Series finds our Sookie attending the Mid West Vampire Conference with the queen of Louisiana and her entourage. Sookie's been hired to use her telepathic abilities to aid the queen, but Sookie's also hoping to spend some time with her weretiger boyfriend, Quinn. This being Sookie Stackhouse we're discussing, naturally things don't go as planned and Sookie soon finds herself facing murders, trials, and bombings. In addition, Sookie's fending off Eric t... Review:We open this book to find out Jason is now a werepanther and seem to be doing ok with the idea, but someone is out to kill shifters and Jason is a suspect, so Sookie has find out who is shooting shifters since Calvin and Sam have both been shot, and if that's not enough Sam ask Sookie to go to Eric to see if they can get help with a bar tender until Sam is back on his feet, so of course Eric is all to happy to help out, but what he doesn't know is the guy he sends wants to kill Sookie and tries ... Review:Bill has suddenly disappeared with mysterious directions for Sookie. Eric informs her that Bill has been taken, possibly dead, and--maybe worse--is with another woman, a vampire. Sookie, along with Eric and hunky werewolf (finally!) Alcide, runs off to Mississippi and infiltrates Club Dead to try to rescue Bill and unravel the plot (of which nothing more is heard from for the entirety of the book). There's some cool action, but not enough and with not really any semblance of depth and mystery or... Read more
Review:I loved this book! I love Sookie. She is hilarious! This book was just as satisfying as the 1st! Sookie & Bill have the most crazy "relationship" with the vampires, and the shape shifters, were wolfs. I love the TV series too.
The Fellowship is crazy people. They are weird. and freak me out. I cannot believe what they did to Sookie. I am glad that all turned out well. I will be reading the 3rd book for sure. As I have all the books that are published so far!
Sookie + Bill = :)
