Review:I chose this rating because Stephen King is the best horror writer that I know in my lifetime. He writes story's about very evil people He gets you engrossed in the whole story and has you sitting on the edge of your seat from start to finish. I look forward to a new book coming out. Read more
Review:After this book arrived, and after I thumbed through it, I was quite surprised my kids liked it. It has very few words. It is mostly graphics....lots of pictures.
The books is quite thick compared to most graphic books I've seen.
I bought the book for my 6 year old, but my 9 year old really like it too.
I sent the book to another little girl, but I've received no feed back. I'm hoping she enjoyed it too. Read more
Review:You should read Plants vs. Zombies! I recommend this book because this book is full of adventure and humor. It might take two minutes, but you might get interested with the book. Don’t doubt me because you might want to read the book first. It is exciting because you will get to meet two new characters: Nate and Patrice. This book is about nature vs evil. You can also get it on your phone, laptop or any other touchscreen device. So,what are you waiting for? This book is totally brrrrains. Read more
Review:I decided to buy this series after my 6yo borrowed books 1 and 5 from her school library a few times and seemed obsessed with them, carrying them around and reading at every opportunity. Now she is reading the books in sequence and after done handing them over to me. She loves them and I'm hooked too. Awesome story, the illustration is beautiful and it strikes the right balance of being child friendly while still being serious enough. Read more
Review:Whether or not you will enjoy The Three Musketeers depends on two factors:
1. Vocabulary: I've read pretty widely, and in some cases the 'classics' are unbearable to read simply because it does not flow. It is very hard to concentrate on the plot or the characters when you have to think about the language being used. Thankfully, this is not as much of a problem in Three Musketeers. If you don't read classics at all, this may not suit you.
2. Length: This is the unabridged verson, it is a v... Read more
Review:for a guy like me that loves mature graphic novels, We3 not so great compare to graphic novels like Ex Machina, Y the Last Man or Criminal. It's a fun read, don't get me wrong but the comic is all about how cruel humans are and the humans are the actual beasts in this world. The three animals don't really have that much character to them, they are just poor little things that are scared and wanting to go back "home". After reading it once, I never picked it up again.
But defiantly check it ou... Read more
Review:Brian K. Vaughan is the best writer in comics. Of this, I'm sure. I have loved almost everything he's written and was happy to finally get a chance to read this. He has an amazing way of humanizing so many different types of characters. The plot here, based on a true story, is simple and pure: survival. He takes it so far past that. Just an amazing story. The art was very good. Overall a fantastic must read! Read more
Review:Writing a successful YA series that appeals to tweens, teenagers and adults alike (such as Harry Potter and The Hunger Games) is quite a skill and not one that this series achieves.
While I think teenagers would probably quite enjoy this series, as an adult I found it far too long and drawn out, overtly cheesy and predictable. You know the plot lacks intelligence when you can easily predict the ending before you have even picked up the fourth and last book.
The only character I rea... Read more
Review:“City on the Edge of Forever” is almost universally considered one of the best, if not the best, STAR TREK episodes. Famously penned by Harlan Ellison, and nearly as famously changed quite a bit, IDW Comics has come out with a comic of Ellison original Hugo-winning teleplay. Done in five installments via collaboration between Ellison and Scot and David Tipton, and illustrated by J.K. Woodward, the end result makes for a fascinating read that stands on its own with the eventually produced episode... Read more
Review:This Is exactly what I wanted. No problems here. Not much to say about it other than it fulfills the needs that I wanted for this product. I enjoyed using this I guess? Seems reliable and trustworthy, but only time will tell. I've owned it for about 3 weeks, and it has no problems but I will give an update in a couple more weeks to see how it goes. Read more
