Review:I was delightfully surprised upon receiving this product. The book is quite large (bigger than a standard textbook- but less thick of course). It is a nice board book with a good level of durability and nice solid spine. These are both important factors, as books without these features can get torn by a toddler. Review:Out performs the regular version of the flavor bible by a long shot. Great for those of us who aren't vegetarians to spark some new ideas even includes some nutritional information, descriptions of what the foods actually are, and ideas on how best to use them. Just get this book, if you can live without the pairings with meats and fish (everyone already knows rosemary goes with lamb and bacon goes with scallops anyhow). Read more
Review:The information itself seems okay I have yet to look at it, but the binding was poorly done and the book came as new but has a sticker labeling damaged stuck on the back. The book has chunks of pages that are loose rather then glued to the binding and it was therefore noticeable before even opening it. I paid full price for a new copy and received a damaged copy. Review:This is the first grammar book that I actually read all the way through. Prior to this, I didn't even know what adverbs or conjunctions are.
I had an English teacher say my writing is perfect. Off course it's not, but I was happy because it's my first time receiving such compliment.
I learned from this book that English is actually easy and pleasant to learn if you have a great teacher like Susan Thurman. I can't remember struggling at all, and I actually had a pleasant time.
Review:Surprising, given the author's credentials, this felt like a collection of blog posts reformatted for a book and seems very much in need of an editor, or maybe just better typesetting? What exactly keeps this book from being readable is eluding me, but it makes my eyes cross themselves.
