The Keeper (Vega Jane, Book 2)
The Keeper (Vega Jane, Book 2)

Review:The Washington Post has built a sizable army of reporters to dig into every facet of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's life under orders of new owner Jeff Bezos, the Amazon founder and Democratic Party donor.

Post Associate Editor Bob Woodward revealed Wednesday that the Post has assigned 20 staffers to Trump. In addition the paper plans a book.

"There's a lot we don't know," he told the National Association of Realtors convention in Washington. "We have 20 people wo... Read more

The Hero of Ages: A Mistborn Novel
The Hero of Ages: A Mistborn Novel

Review:The first couple of chapters of book one were a little bit hard to get into as the "magic of the Mistborn World" was being incorporated into the story line, but the books just got better and better and I did not see the ending to this story coming as I have in so many other books, yet it was satisfying and logical. Assassin’s Fate (Fitz and the Fool, Book 3)
Assassin’s Fate (Fitz and the Fool, Book 3)

Review:A great finale to Fitz and the Fool's story. Hobb is by far my favourite fantasy author, and this book delivers all the I was looking for. It will be eligible for the Hugo best series award for the 2018 Hugo's and I hope it wins. Read more

Half a War (Shattered Sea, Book 3)
Half a War (Shattered Sea, Book 3)

Review:Solid ending to the trilogy. It's not near as thrilling as the Before They Were Hanged series, but Father Yarvi is complex enough to keep you interested in his schemes and the final outcome. The nod to modern technology took some of the thrill from the ending. I would have preferred a gritty final battle with the best swordsmen on each side squaring off. Read more

Welcome to the Jungle (Jim Butcher's The Dresden Files
Welcome to the Jungle (Jim Butcher's The Dresden Files

Review:First and foremost, this is exactly what it claims to be...I have knocked it two points, because it really isn't very long, and frankly overpriced for what it is. The art is fine to good. The story is a good short story quality piece, that is a nice fun read. Did I mention it was short? Read more

PORTAL (Portal Chronicles Book 1)
PORTAL (Portal Chronicles Book 1)

Review:I am new to Imogen Rose but got the book for $0.99 so I thought I would give it a try. I am so glad I did:) This book was fast paced which is what I need to keep me interested! I just loved it and started on book 2 as soon as I finished Portal! I would recommend this book to any reader YA and Adult alike. I am hoping book 3 will have a price drop so I can get it too:) I think there is a planned book 4 that may be in the works. I will then move on to her other series as well. Great author... Read more

One of Us Is Lying
One of Us Is Lying

Review:There has been a lot said about this novel so I will just post my thoughts on the novel. I liked all the secrets that everyone was harboring. It’s not only that they were the only individuals who were in the room when Simon was killed, there are other motivators that make these teens the likely suspect. It’s all the ghosts in the closets that everyone felt they are hiding but in reality, Simon knew. When all the ghosts start showing their faces, a finger could be pointed at any of them. I e... Carry On
Carry On

Review:Bottom line: It was good. I recommend it. I think if you enjoy Harry Potter and a good young adult story, you won't be disappointed.
Observations: I was surprised at how well I kept track of the changing narrators. First person, multiple narrators always confuses me, but much less so with this novel than others I've read. Goes to show how well Rowell differentiates her characters' internal voices. And first person truly suited this novel. I loved her use of parentheses, (Especially the myriad... Read more

Paperglass (The War of Princes, Book 2)
Paperglass (The War of Princes, Book 2)

Review:Even better than the first book! I read it all in one sitting because I couldn't put it down! An immensely likable and enjoyable read. I hope that the author continues to put out books like this for a long time. Read more

The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue
The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue

Review:After hearing so much about GGTVAV and reading so many great reviews for it, I was definitely pulled onto the hype train. Luckily, the hype didn't fail me and I ended up loving like everyone else!

Monty doesn't make the best decisions (some of them had me rolling my eyes a bit), but thankfully he had Felicity and Percy by his side to keep him straight and help him out. I honestly don't think Monty would've made it very far without those two. He's also a bit conceited, but also super charm... Read more
