Review:Dan Wells has done it again with Mr. Monster. It is a thrilling and chilling follow up to I Am Not a Serial Killer. It was shocking and full of surprises. It had many great plot twists and it kept me on the edge of my seat through the whole book. I highly recommend this book, as well as anything by Mr. Wells. He truly has a gift for the macabre and weird. John Cleaver is an interesting and original character in a world where those are hard to come by. Wells sells the voice of this teenage sociop... Review:Harry Potter fans if back stories are your thing; then this is the book for you. Brief histories and unknown personal backgrounds help illuminate the mystery behind some of these already interesting characters. Read more
Review:The first book was slow. The pace didn't pick up until over half way through the story, but I still enjoyed it because it was interesting enough that I wanted to find out what happened next and it involved a lot of the main characters interaction with her faith in God. However, after reading the entire story, I decided not to continue with the second book, because it was just too slow for me. About a year after I pick up the first book, again and re-read it. After finishing it for the second tim... Read more
Review:This was a good trilogy I was right there the full way through the trilogy but I didn't like the end. Spoilers ahead don't read if you haven't read the book..... Ok I have to admit I hate it when the main character loses there powers and the way she did I mean I understand it shows that she did all these amazing things on her own it wasn't because of the stone but still. I mean she grows really powerful amazingly powerful and then to lose it that turned me off right there. Other then that it... Read more

Read the book. That’s all. Read the book. It’s wonderful and swoony and hilarious and made my toes curl. Read the book. What? You want to know more than that? Fiiiiiiiine. But get your ponchos because the fangirl tsunami is a-comin’.
Princess of Thorns is not a Sleeping Beauty retelling. Instead, it reframes the Sleeping Beauty myth (instead of a happy ending, Sleeping Beauty marries a sp... Read more
Review:As much of a lover of all things Stiefvater that I am, one might wonder why the hell it took me so long to get my act together and read this book. The answer is easy, really. It's about faeries and you may already know that I'm not a fan of the fae. But it's Maggie freaking Steveotter and you don't just shelf a Steveotter and not read it. So I read it.
The first thing that struck me was the writing. It has classic Stiefvater elements that brings the story alive in such a vivid way. It w... Read more
Review:The Scorpio Races is an absolutely breathtaking book. Puck and Sean are both incredibly alive; I never felt like they were just characters on a page. Every background character had that sense of life.
I’m pretty sure we’re all familiar with the magic of Maggie Stiefvater’s writing; The Scorpio Races is no exception. Every part of this book, especially Thisby, the island Puck and Sean live on, breathes with every page turn.
I LOVED The Scorpio Races. Much like The Raven Cycle, it re... Read more
Review:This book definitely makes you think about the things we take for granted. It makes me think again before complaining about anything and reminded me that no matter how bad things may be, there is always a silver lining. Read more
Review:Found the CD audiobook at my local library, pleasantly surprised to find that Jesse Eisenberg is the narrator of this creative and entertaining story of a high-school nerd who battles bullies, mean girls and peer pressure with the help of a black market computer program. Fictional story, but could be true someday if technology continues to advance the way it has the last few years. Great story and best audiobook I've heard in a while, highly recommend. (Too bad Jesse Eisenberg has become a big... Read more
Review:This book was pretty good. I thought the beginning was the best part of the whole story. I am not Jewish, so I did not understand all the terminology. I think Jewish people would be able to understand and connect better to it. But it did send out good messages and themes. Although at many points I found myself forcing myself to go back to reading it, I was assigned to read it for Honors English. It was boring at some parts, to the point where once or twice I awoke to find that I had f... Read more
