She decided to sign up for prison Dating and connected with Zack. When he gets out they meet up. Some things happen but it was a great story I just couldn't put it down. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. Read more

Review:I read all three and was really looking forward to this one. It was good. A little predictable and frustrating in some ways but overall, good. I enjoyed the first two books much more but like having a good ending to the entire story. Read more

Winesburg, Ohio (Golden Deer Classics)
Winesburg, Ohio (Golden Deer Classics)

Review:This little book is still required reading in many Lit courses. It's well written, but I have a few problems with it. First of all, it's fairly obvious that he thought most of us from rural Ohio were a bunch of nincompoops...or, gnarled apples. Secondly, the religious nut guy in the field was a stretch and, perhaps, downright ridiculous. So much has been read into this book that it has become overwrought. Everyone should read this, but not necessarily believe it. Read more

The Bloody Chamber And Other Stories (Vintage Magic)
The Bloody Chamber And Other Stories (Vintage Magic)

While her stories find their genesis in the childlike versions of Sleeping Beauty, Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, and others, Ms. Carter transforms these fantastical stories into adult renditions where vampires prey on virgins, where children lie down with wolves, and a Count "thrust his virile member into the dead girl"... Mirror, Mirror (In Death)

Review:This book of revamped fairy tales is very well written and fun for adults to read. Everyone in my book club loved it and, that is a first for us. We all had our individual favorites; mine was "If Wishes Were Horses". The book was hard to put down and impossible to forget. Read more

Everyday Inspiration from the Author of Pay It Forward
Everyday Inspiration from the Author of Pay It Forward

Review:I truly was inspired by Ms. Hyde's personal struggles and very perceptive observations in this book. I think most people would be able to relate to her. Lots of short anecdotes, so it's very easy to read. Humble; not preachy. I read her book "Don't Let Me Go" recently and had seen "Pay it Forward" years ago, and am now reading "When You Were Older." Love her style. Read more
