A Gripping Bad Boy Romance (Bad Boys After Dark Book 1)

Absolutely loved this book. The characters Zack and Maddie were great together even though they were different. Hes an ex military and she's a veterinarian. She decided to sign up for prison Dating and connected with Zack. When he gets out they meet up. Some things happen but it was a great story I just couldn't put it down. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

A poignant story of two broken souls that find healing with each other. Maddy, a curvy veterinarian who takes in strays and sick animals and nurses them back to health, befriends Zack online in prison. He is released early and he and Maddy become involved. A true love story, maybe not but a wonderful story all the same. ARC reader for a truly honest review ?

PTSD is a serious illness for so many of our veterans and it is crucial that they get the proper treatment. This books shows exactly how they can function and have a normal life with the proper treatment and the right person on their side. A must read!!

I enjoyed how Zack & Maddie each work on the things that they are afraid of. I do think that the story could have been longer. There is so much more that could be explored.

It's got the hot bad guy in Zack and his love interest Madeleine is as sweet as he is bad, with plenty of heat to get you through the cold nights to come this has got to be a" to read " book.

This book is filled with dark, dirty, and explicit. It's also filled with a budding love story and offers insight into life after war. Madeline has been mentally and physically abused by her ex. Zack is a product of war. They both put aside their fears to start anew. Good read. Enjoyed it.

Wow this book was just amazing. I really enjoyed the depth of the characters and the way in which the author dealt with the issue of DV and PTSD. Gabi Moore should be commended on the way she wrote about the these issues. This is a great read and I would highly recommend that you check out Heart of Darkness today.

Once I started the book I couldn't put it down, read it cover to cover non-stop. Your interest is engaged right from the first chapter.

Heart of Darkness was a great read! This was the second book that I have read from Gabi Moore, and I loved it! The story line and characters were wonderful! Zack and Maddy had so much chemistry! Maddie is a real lovable character in need of being uplifted and appreciated for who she is. Zack is in need of redemption and finds it in the lovable Maddie. A story that touches on the fringes of the depravity of war. A lovely read.

Who would have thought that Maddy would have found love on a online dating site, much less one that was a prisoner dating site? Maddy has recently broken up with her boyfriend who was abusive, Zack was in prison for a domestic dispute can they work out there own demons to be together. This is a good read.

Zack is an ex army/ ex con dealing with PTSD. Both characters were relatable dealing with problems of the past. They are able to work on these problems with each other and come out better. Very real and believable problems. Loved the chemistry between them.

Good and bad, scary and keep you on your toes. For those of you who like romance this is for you. I suggest you get and don't stop reading it!

This book was not what I expected. Reading this book you meet a Zach who struggles with PTSD and when he meets Maddie he realizes he can overcome it just by sharing his experiences with others who suffer with PTSD.
I absolutely loved reading this book and am excited to read more!

This book was about healing and finding yourself. I think while the book is dark, it had some very good life lessons regarding domestic abuse.

This is a great read. The characters are well developed. It takes a looked at the problems each person faces affects relationships. It does have it steamy scenes as well. I highly recommend this book.

Madeleine meets Zach through an on line convict site he's an army vet in prison for hurting his ex through a black out moment he's suffering pstd & feels guilty for all he's done. She's a real vet who regularly takes in stray animals, she's just come out of an abusive relationship. They chat on line every day 7 till 8 am when he gets released he asks if she fancies meeting. Can too damaged souls repair each other?

It was a great read. The chemistry between both characters was off the charts. I really loved Maddy and Zack how they came together, they were both made for each other. It was well written, Would definitely recommend it.

This book made me cry. Acceptance and redemption happens to be only words but in the action there is a lot of heartbreak. This is the story of that heartbreak.

Great book. Goes pretty deep into the problem of PTSD. This is a pretty dark romance. I do love Maddy and Zack was pretty broken. It was a great book.

i voluntarily read this book through an arc copy, and i have to say i was pretty surprise. not only is it an amazing dirty dark romance book but it also gives you a perspective on what it's like to have been in the army and now living in the real world and feeling like a totally different human. not even human.
