Software
Review:Reading it through gives you a complete picture of building microservices. I have already had experiences with restful service design, cloud computing and so on. Microservice is just one step ahead. Good to see the author listing various software to use for each aspect and his judgement on them. Very helpful! Read more
Review:My first (rash) reaction to this book was unfairly negative, because of the word "code" in its title. I teach software design to technicians, and so they already know how to code. The problem I have is getting them to think about design and its importance. This book, despite its title, contains a lot of useful information regarding design. The electronic (Kindle) version was helpful to find the areas where it is. Read more
Review:Well-written book. Clear explanations of statistical concepts and methodologies. along with explanation of how to implement in R. Useful for someone with a medium understanding of statistics and aptitude for learning programming languages, to rapidly increase their knowledge and gain practice. Read more
Review:The book gives a general idea about VBA capabilities for those who have no previous knowledge whatsoever NONE.
However, the author makes the readers jump back and forth from one chapter to another using notations such as "(which I discuss in Chapter XX)" moreover, the Author often recommends visiting MS Help site (so what is the benefit of the book?)
The book lacks examples.
A great contribution I found in this book are the author's tips based on personal experience. Read more

Review:The book has some content, but as other reviewers noted, it is bad-organized and insufficient. The same way that in R the data frame is some sort of utilitarian ostrich that can sing, fly and run, this book is a crossing between a tutorial, a programming guide and a programming reference, albeit it does not excel at any.
Things that could have helped the book is a start with a more conceptual analysis of the data-structures in R, after all, there is plenty of free information in the Inte... Read more
Review:My son gave me a Chromebook to replace my Netbook. He helped me prepare a slide presentation at work and transfer it to Slides. I understand it more now. I took the presentation with a small projector to a realtor function. It went well (except they said I could have shown it from a thumb drive. My other szon got a Slimport so I can show the presentation from my Nexus. Also, printing from the cloud has been FD last and easy. Thank you! Read more
