The Choice: Embrace the possible
The Choice: Embrace the possible

Review:A deeply personal and professionally enlightening account of survival and liberation. A book anybody troubled with sorrow and/or anger, an overly critical and negative self image can learn from. It’s honest and compelling with a lot to teach us all how to be better human beings. Read more

Rapid Interpretation of EKG's, Sixth Edition
Rapid Interpretation of EKG's, Sixth Edition

Review:This book was very simple...so simple it almost made me feel simple. At first I thought that was a good thing, but the more I read the less useful it became. I would suggest this maybe more if you were teaching yourself...but for classes where a lecture of some sort is supplementing learning, this book is definitely way too easy. Read more

Modern Man In Search of a Soul

Review:Absolutely brilliant book !! This book has helped me to become at peace with myself, and at peace with all........
Dr. Jung has hit the truth, the problem with modern man is his creed's lack Energy or vitality

Evidence-Based Practice in Nursing & Healthcare - A Guide to Best Practice 3rd edition
Evidence-Based Practice in Nursing & Healthcare - A Guide to Best Practice 3rd edition

Review:Evidenced-based practice is important for any profession to be taken seriously and to be trustworthy. However, this book is not a fun read. I completed most of my class without it and used it sparingly for references. The 5 starts is because the seller sent it promptly, packaged it securely, and most of all described it perfectly. Ten Reasons We're Wrong About the World--and Why Things Are Better Than You Think
Ten Reasons We're Wrong About the World--and Why Things Are Better Than You Think

Review:The book left me encouraged about the progress outside the western world. I did not do well on the quiz. yet, I have seen the homeless in San Diego. Detroit slums are horrible. The water in Flint is deadly. The crime rate in St. Louis and Chicago is scary. Many small cities in the rural south have more adults on welfare than have jobs. The US is more divided than ever, it seems. There is more to life than global public health. While this book touched on many improvements around the globe, ... Read more

40th Anniversary edition (Oxford Landmark Science)
40th Anniversary edition (Oxford Landmark Science)

Review:The starting is very interesting. But after a few chapters, the book becomes too complicated and it looks like a maze of things explained in too much detail that only a Scientist might find interesting. Gave up after reading a few chapters. I think this should be edited by someone because the facts are really innovative and contribute to the understanding of "life." Read more

Notes on Nursing
Notes on Nursing

Review:This is a book all nurses should read. It was written in the 1800's, but the basic nursing concepts have not changed. Because it was written in a different era, the language can be a bit cumbersome. I had to reread some passages to gain full comprehension. Again, even though this was written long ago, the basic concepts are very beneficial to any one on the medical profession. Read more

The Art of Thinking Clearly
The Art of Thinking Clearly

Review:This is a great book recommended for every one who do take decision, especially decision made on others behalf and decisions which impact many people. It demystifies a lot of myths and brings clarity to a lot of "whys?". Take time to read it and probably use if for reference. The chapters are short and the examples are spot on. Only be careful not to let is confuse or digress you... by analytical :)... its not a book for way of life...but a looking glass. Read more
