Review:I've read many Holocaust survivor stories but the ones written from a child's point of view are most interesting to me. Events that are devastating to an adult are perceived so differently by children. One thing children pick up on is tension and this book portrays that aspect realistically. I read it in one sitting. Great book and I'm grateful to the author for sharing her experience. Read more
Review:A fabulous read, writer Ann Rule takes us from crime to resolution in a fast-paced story that is almost impossible to put down. If you enjoy non fiction crime stories, "Small Sacrifices" is the gold standard of this genre. It is definitely a must-read. Read more
Review:I appreciated reading from this Author's own actual words and thoughts. It clarified a lot of issues I have encountered associating with persons

Review:I have really enjoyed reading this book. You feel trapped in Cabeza de Vaca's adventures right from the first few pages. I keep telling my friends how amazing this story was, and how miraculous it is that he and his companions endured so as to cross the continent from Florida to the Pacific Coast of Mexico, most of the path by foot.
But it is shame that Amazon took so little care in converting this book to the Kindle format. If maps are important in travel books, here are crucial. And yet... Read more

Review:THe book is yet another wonderful publication to be handed out to new and future Ben Carson admirers and voters. I am going to order more to pass out to my neighbors, several of which are highly educated black families. I also am going to show the 2 CD films of Dr Carson. I will wait after the Iowa vote, where I am hoping and believe that Dr Carson's vote tallies will come in very high.
Then when Dr Carson's name comes to the forefront, new voters will be more curious about him, and t... Read more
Review:We just got the book yesterday and we have already read it all the way through! It is a great story of a life well lived and you can't put the book down once you get started. It is a great insight into an already great view from the outside of a family that cares deeply about the direction our nation is going. We will be watching to see the outcome of the coming election events and we are hopeful that a man of this character will go in to the White House. It is a very refreshing and in some ... Read more
Review:I absolutely recommend this book. It is so good that I could not put it down and read it in one day. It clearly shows the
insanity of our current parole process, the horrors of Federal Prisons, and the courage and bravery of Cait as she battles cancer
three times. An interesting, well written book about interesting people. Read more
